Realistically I think after this next album, EP or whatever she's working on, she might think about starting a family and lay low for 2-3 years. She might release albums less often or tour less, but I don't see her career just stopping completely. What would Avril do with herself all day, especially when her kids get old enough to go to school? I think she keeps doing this stuff because it gives her something to do and she enjoys it. And even if she stopped with music for a few years, she may still want to do other things like Abbey Dawn, her foundation, or acting. I just don't see Avril dropping off the face of the earth. I have a few ideas and all of them involve Hello Kitty

That is pretty cool! How many fan bases can say that they were approached by Billboard magazine? I hope they write something that makes us really sound impressive and not like just a bunch of fangirls/fanboys because we're so much more than that. Like talk about how her fansite has over 800,000 members and that we've had the chance to actually interview Avril and stuff.
I don't agree about the lack of passion thing. She definitely seems to lack interest in live performing these days and changing up her set list. But when she made so many new styles of songs with GYWYL, Hello Heartache, FF, I don't see how people could say she only does music as a job now. And what about Fly for her foundation? The new songs she's writing about her illness? How she wrote 2 songs on AL by herself because she said writing on her own is important to her? If Avril didn't have passion for music anymore, she could just stop. She is not obligated to keep going, nor does she financially need to. She obviously continues making music because she has the opportunity that many people don't have and she enjoys it. Performing is the area where she seems to have lost passion and inspiration.

You should write a draft when more details about this thing is released.

So they promote a 2 year old picture from some random event but not any of her music. K, got it.

They probably had a contract with Nylon-Magazine that they have to promote them after exactly 1 year - or something like that. I doubt that it was just epic's idea to do a random-throwback.
I would love to know what deal Avril has with Epic, cause it doesnt seem normal to me that they dont promote her at all..

It's both of them. And they aren't big enough to afford it.

They probably think this is still 2002 and that Avril's music will sell itself because of who she is, while they focus on newer acts like Meghan Trainor and Fifth Harmony.

Well they better focus Avril again because Meghan Trainor will probably fade away soon anyway and who even is Fifth Harmony.

Fifth Harmony is actually a really successful group, at least in the U.S. They've done extremely well.

What era would you say we're in right now?
Are we still technically in the AL era, or is it the post-AL era, or what?

I personally consider current era to be the Fly era (or SO era).
