Since I have Spotify Premium I have bought an album except for Avrils. BUT I buy albums if it's a new artist and if I like her/his/their music. I think it's important to show support to new and/or independet artists. I wouldnt buy Britney Spears, Rihanna, Katy Perry etc. because they have more than enough money and they dont need mine. Pink was an exception, I bought her You+Me-album because I wanted to show support to this special project. It's such an awesome album

I wouldnt buy Britney Spears, Rihanna, Katy Perry etc. because they have more than enough money and they dont need mine. that logic makes no common sense imo

The only albums I've ever bought are from Avril. are you kidding? Maybe she's referring to the album CD? I too have only 9 album CDs - five from Avril and 4 from my favorite band.
I usually buy digital copies - this is something what we started to do since 2007 or 2008.

Agree. According to that logic, Avril too have more than enough money and she doesn't need ours.
It's not only about the money. The album sales are very critical to an artist - especially mainstream pop artists.
Avril Lavigne and Britney Spears are the perfect example of what happens when a huge pop artist suffers the lack of album sales.

I buy all albums from Avril because I'm a huge fan. There is no logic behind that I dont buy albums from big srars like Rihanna etc. because I listen to it on spotify which I pay for. Artists dont get a lot of money from CDs, its mostly the label. If I want to support Artists (not even with my streaming on spotify), I visit their concerts.

When I was younger, I would buy CD's even if I only liked a few songs, but I no longer do that because I end up giving albums to others. For example, I bought Monkey Business by BEP when I was in middle school and later decided that they really weren't the type of band I was in to, so I gave it to my mom. Mostly I listen to the album on youtube before I decide to buy the album now. I actually just did that with Talking Dreams by Echosmith. One of my favorite Digitals I bought. The other reason I buy albums from artists is if I listen to them a lot with my friends or sisters and their music grew on me. Fifth Harmony is this example. My sisters are HUGE FH fans, and I listen to a lot of their songs such as Worth It, Don't Wanna Dance Alone, ect. and bought a digital copy of Reflection when I bought Talking Dreams

To be fair if it's on iTunes i just choose and pick stuff I like, if it's an artist i love like Avril or anyone like that, I'll buy the whole album.
