I did research on this and the only "source" is a paparazzo asking her on the street. She doesn't even stop to talk about it, she just says "yes" and continues walking away. Some fans think she may not have been serious or that she's making a Christmas album. She has done 2 Christmas EPs in the past and there's still time to release one next month if she finishes soon. I really don't think she's really releasing an actual album so soon already. Even if she can finish it quickly, the label has to approve it and have time for a marketing plan, etc. There was also something she said in a tweet that has since been deleted. So I would honestly take this whole thing with a grain of salt. she said that whatever she makes won’t be a Christmas album  but yeah. it doesn’t seem likely that she’d be able to get everything that goes into making a record completed before the end of the year unless she means a lead single to the next record that will come out next year before the tour but idk. she said she hates eras and wants to just release music when she wants. |

She doesn't need to "get everything ready to complete the album before the end of the year" because it is probably already completed. It can drop whenever now, just like head above water just did

Which has nothing to do with Avril and AL6, so if Ariana just realsed an album and will release another this year yet (or not) won’t change anything in Avril’s era
