the sheets Steve has on the piano are HAW but a shorter version. Maybe she won't sing the part of "so pull me up from down below.." she will jump to the "And I can't see in the stormy weather".

I think even people that aren’t familiar with her music know that Girlfriend is an old song.
I don’t watch DWTS much and can’t remember how her previous performances were, but I just watched another artist perform who was on last week and she skipped the second verse.

So if Avril sings a shorter version of the song people will attack her as if it was her choice to do so, and not a thing that happens at the show normally with all artists?!
I’m already seeing people saying “if it was to do that should’ve stayed home”

Why does it even matter? The point is she's at least performing somewhere instead of just more silence. People were complaining she wasn't doing any promo and that we weren't seeing much of her. Despite what some people are saying, DWTS is a relatively popular program here and she gets to perform on the finale when probably the most amount of people will be watching. This is overall good promo for her.

I think she feels difficult to have quality performance like used to be before. She knows her poor condition that's why she was shaking her head at 3:22

Every opportunity to promote and make HAW known is welcome. I wonder if she'll return to any TV show here in Europe, although I don't know which ones could even host her. VIVA channels are dying faster than African Rhinos, and I've got no idea what kind of night shows the Germans have up there (They probably must have some kind of night shows on SAT1 or ZDF or something?). Do you Italians have anything where big foreign musicians still come to? Maybe she could brighten the mood on Porta a Porta, hehehe  Porta a Porta is so boring  as Sarah said it's about politics. In January there is "C'e' Posta per te" which is a very popular talk show where actors, singers make surprises to their fans and participate in their (often) tearful stories. Yeah even Che Tempo Che Fa is good a sorta David Letterman Show. I think the most important event here in Italy is the Sanremo Festival which is also worldwide where Avril was already guest in 2011. The Festival is in February, the record release is rumored to be the same month so who knows  |

Idk why anyone would have an issue with her performing a shorter version of HAW. It's a long song that is being played in a dancing competition not one of her shows.
My only complain would be if DWTS made her band use playback again. (Maybe that's why the whole band wasn't pictured? Because they already know they will have to use playback?) Also if she wore something inappropriate again. I'm also hoping she doesn't do her I'm bored act but the I'm happy to be here performing for you act.
