HAW ft Travis is only for Japan, good to know it won't be in the Target edition but still hope the 2 tracks are really new songs.
So if Japan gets a feature of HAW, why the mv is blocked there? haha

Physical copies of HAW cost 19,99 € ($22.70) on German Amazon! Why the fuck is it so much more expensive than anywhere else? Hopefully they'll lower the price before the release. I don't really want to pre-order from somewhere abroad 'cause of shipping costs and long delivery times. But if the price won't change, well... it's Avril, she can have my money. Still, I really wonder.....? Maybe the price gets lower closer to the release! By now JPC is the cheapest store that I found for both CD (15,99€) and vinyl (22,99€). Saturn was cheaper but now it’s 17,99€ CD and 26,99€ vinyl

Can anyone who knows about this stuff verify if this is what Avril Lavigne Music & Entertainment means under the album/singles?

I am not 100% sure but I want to say that BMG is really only there to help distribute the music. I think Avril did all the recording process on her own, A&R, etc. BMG might just distribute it. Which could be why Avril didn’t go fully independent.

So then the extra tracks for Target (if it's available later) are likely to be the feature with Tavis (not worth it I'm sorry Travis I like him but still) and I'm pretty sure we'll get Fly as an extra too (alas Alice/Bad Rep/HYRM).
Whatever I'll just buy it in store the day of release.

Can anyone who knows about this stuff verify if this is what Avril Lavigne Music & Entertainment means under the album/singles? Oh man. That's the name of the company she launched in 2005. It's a mother company for all her companies, like the foundation. All her products, meaning music, merch, Abbey Dawn, fregnances are listed under the Avril Lavigne Music & Entertainment. That's the way it's been for ages. She is signed under BMG which is the record label she records for, which distributes her nee music worldwide. On her record deal however it depends how much they are really involved in anything more - promotion in general. That's why all ppl who were tweeting BMG asking for more promo are funny because it's likely BMG is not responsible for that. Record deal details are usually secret so we can only assume that Avril invests her own money in this record, music videos and promotion.

What’s the point of having a distributor if she’s financing everything, then? Just put it up on iTunes and Spotify and call it a day... press your own CDs for your website. The point of having a label is to pay for the recording sessions and promo

Even though streaming is very very important, physical copies are still a thing and Avril definitely isn't an artist who will be able to see a million copies through her webstore. Not saying they will probably fail at some point with delivery xD Record labels are more than just financing and promoting. Actually, a good promotion occurs when both the label (if that's also and their side!) and the management work together. Record labels provide contacts, delivery chains, distribution deals what's important and very expensive. Mainly that's why Avril's new CD is going to be extremely expensive in Europe (approx twice as expensive as AL was).

Target has actually for the most part stopped selling them, and I know Best Buy has drastically reduced their section. I’m sure Walmart is the same. Can’s speak for other countries, but the majority of people here do not buy CDs anymore... they use Spotify. If they’re going to buy a physical format, it’s vinyl.

Target doesn’t have anything up with the new album at all.. usually closer to release is when Target posts it. The page is still there, it isn’t live yet though.

If the tour is going to start on summer/fall of 2019 I guess there will be at least 3 more singles before it, I don't think she will just disappear from feb to the start of the tour and BMG artists usually release many singles. 1. HAW - Sep 19. 2. TMIO - Dec 12 Preorder Dec 12 IMO:3. IFILWTD Promo single end of Jan or early Feb Album out feb 15 4/5. Birdie - March/April 4/5. Dumb Blonde - end of May (before the tour) 6. Crush/Warrior (During or at the end of tour) Tour: America: Canada, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Argentina. Europe: UK, France, Italy, Germany and Austria. Asia: the ones she always visits. End of tour in 2020. End of 2020 - 2021 break 2022- 2023 working on AL7 2023 AL7 out

If she decides to put her album only on streaming services, she won't make money at at
