Did anyone watch E3? See anything you liked? -Doom -Deus Ex: Mankind Divided -Fallout 4 -Rise of the Tomb Raider -Mass Effect: Andromeda T'was a good E3. Btw, Shenmue 3 is happening, which gives me a nerd boner. As does the PC port of Killer Instinct.

The Last Guardian was pretty cool. It Looks like Tomb Raider without Action and fights xD Yeah I'm pretty glad it's pretty much been brought out of development hell now- I just hope it's a good game.

Im waiting for Fallout 4, will be damn awesome as usual, Bethesda never disappoints.
Also Witcher 3 came out recently, and it a very good game, but also requires some computer power.

I don't know if it's just badly optimised or inherently demanding, but I *cough* downloaded a copy just to see how well it runs on my computer, and it seems my GTX 760 isn't up to the challenge. Lowering the graphics settings to get a stable 60FPS makes it look like a PS2 game. It's time for an upgrade.

I haven't been paying enough attention to be able to tell which games were announced at E3 and which games simply got new trailers/gameplay footage shown there, but if I had to pick a top 3 of all the stuff I saw at E3 that I'm most excited for then I guess I'd go with the new Hitman game because the last one was great, the new Tomb Raider cause the last one was great as well obviously, and I guess Just Cause 3 in hopes that it's gonna be better than the second one. The second one could have been a way better game if it hadn't been for the bad story and stuff.
I guess it's cool that they announced Shenmue 3, but bringing back a game series after 15 years? I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. I guess Mirror's Edge 2 is gonna be cool as well but I never really got into the first one so I can't really say a lot about that.

It's been 18 years since the last good Doom game, but I really liked what I was seeing at E3. I forgot about Mirror's Edge 2 though. That's also one I'm looking forward to. The "no guns" thing intrigues me. The shooting parts of the first game ruined its pace.

I can't say anything about Doom cause I've never played any of those (is that bad?), but since you said the 18 years since the last good Doom game thing, I have a similar complaint about the new Deus Ex game.
Is it just me or is that whole series just garbage now? I absolutely love the first Deus Ex from 2000, it's in the top 5 of my favorite games ever, but all the other games of the series just don't look as good or interesting at all. I guess the second one doesn't look that awful and I might actually give it a go sometime, but I haven't exactly seen any rave reviews or things to convince me to give the other games in the series a try. When I look at screenshots of the other games in the series, they don't look like Deus Ex games at all. I'm guessing no one here has even played Deus Ex 1 so I'm probably just talking to myself but oh well.

I can't say anything about Doom cause I've never played any of those (is that bad?) Since I've never played the first Deus Ex, we're probably as bad as each other. Doom might have had more... cultural impact than Deus Ex. But they're both classics. Anyway, I really liked Human Revolution, and Mankind Divided seems to be more of the same, but with prettier graphics and more combat novelties. I'm okay with that.

I guess we're looking at it in different ways since you've only played the new one and I've only played the first one. There's nothing wrong with liking the new ones obviously, but there's just nothing that draws me to Human Revolution because it looks like any other game. You can't tell if that's a Deus Ex game or some kind of new futuristic Battlefield game. I just find it dumb that they're using the Deus Ex name on games that aren't Deus Ex-ish at all, if that makes sense. Anyway, enough of my rambling about a game you've never played. I actually just made a list of my favorite games the other day, it's here. I guess you can take a look and see if we have any games in common, cause we might as well talk about games we both know.

By all means, ramble about something you care about. I do it all the time. And you have fine taste in games, Sir. You also have good taste in movies and TV shows, but we'll save that for another time.

Nope it's not bad optimisation, it's at this moment the game that requires the most computer power of all, not sure if that changed in the last months, but atleast when it got released. I'm playing it in medium mostly, with an core i7 and gtx760 in SLI with overclock, so you can imagine what else you need if you want it on high or ultra... But it's really insanely beautiful if you can play it on max graphics, like its nearly reality, lol.

you can imagine what else you need if you want it on high or ultra I've got my eye on a vanilla GTX 980 (Ti is too expensive for me, plus it would require a PSU upgrade). Benchmarks suggest it's more than adequate to run The Witcher 3 at high settings. It should be totally playable at ultra settings, if one doesn't mind losing a bit of framerate. Not to mention that I have bunch of other games which would benefit from a GPU upgrade. Most people would be all like "meh, just play the game", but that's not how us PC gamers think. I want to play it as the developers intended.

Tomb raider 1 , ps1
Very similar to tomb raider anniversary on the ps2 which is a bit annoying
....and "Kill Zone" on the PS2. Actually, Kill Zone on the PS2 is pretty kick ass. I like the way it doesn't get stupidly hard making it more playable. 8-9/10. Been a long time since I came across a decent computer game.
