DTM is my favourite video lol. Not so much for the content (though I do like it) but probably more for when I was 12 years old patiently watching “The Box” music channel waiting for the video to come on when it was released. Nostalgia..
....I had a wild childhood.
I’d definitely move DTM and He Wasn’t into the top 10. I’d put Hot above most on the above list too

Okay, the HK music video really is bad. The "dancing" is awfully cringey, half of the scenes don't make any sense, and Avril's weird facial expressions near the ending are simply embarrassing. But at least it's kinda fun, and I personally love those pastel colours in that candy shop. And at least we see Avril. Where is she in "Fly"? THAT is imo definitely the worst of all her music videos. Simply because in my eyes, it's a promo video for her foundation, not a music video. And it features so much sports (obviously, because Special Olympics), but that's a no-go for me, I fucking hate sports lol. Still, the average ratings for both music videos are higher than what I gave them, so....... I wonder what some people don't like about TBDT music video? The glitter and pink? The cheerleading? Or is it something else? I personally think it's very good, it's really fun and colourful and Avril's really passionate in it. She's just living in the moment, going crazy, having fun - always puts me into a good mood. "He Wasn't" is one of my favourite music videos. It's so much fun and so aggressive. I love how Avril smashes her guitar into the camera and into the wall. I love the food fight. I love that Avril and her bandmates play these BTS characters. I simply love everything about it, even the weird dancing.
I'm a bit surprised by HAW reaching 8.9. I thought a lot of people (including me) found it a bit too simple. I gave it 8/10 and would've put it in my top 20. There are just too many other music videos I like more. #3 WYG - what I hate about the video is how cheesy it is, and the product placement annoys me a bit too. But then there's this old man, oh he really touches my heart. Throughout the video I'm always like "no, get off the screen, everyone, I wanna see the old man." He's so incredibly sweet. This year, he alone was the reason I gave the video 10/10.

I agree with NH #1 always been my favorite video, nothing to object even on MHE #2; but IWY absolutely deserved to be in the top 3! It's a iconic video.

I kinda agree with you on some of these, the rankings of the MVs caught me by surprise, wtf bandaiders? Nobody's home is good, but not 1# good. Compared to IWY its pretty generic, no unique effects to it. I also don't understand the high love for WYG, its also a pretty standard bigger production MV for the period, and features nothing particularly memorable, its just a kind of a Avril version of "Wake me up when september ends". DTM is a humble but quality music video, it certainly should be higher than HAW, which is just a mash of panorama shots, avril double running about, and Avril poorly green screened on a blurry beach. Hello Kitty also doesn't deserve the score by any measure. It kinda loses its compass in the last third together with the song itself, but the first parts are goofy, silly, and fun. Also, Complicated is overrated. It's a nice video, but not #4 nice. |

Girlfriend is her best video so far, i just love the videos that follow the lyrics and Girlfriend fits perfectly for the song and Avril was stunning and so happy and so into everything.
Nobody's Home is her second best video, just like Girlfriend it fits the lyrics.
Complicated is so overrated really, i think it got this high score just for memories and because it's her first video, but it's not a video you can watch over and over again, just like I'm With You, Don't Tell Me, Sk8er Boy.
Don't even know why Head Above Water is on top ten, sorry if i sound harsh, but it's a pretty lame video,it's boring, too artificial..i prefer Tell Me It's Over tbh, at least there were more scenes and a storyline.
