Some things just happen before you plan them. I agree with certain things. I hope it won‘t be an issue during the tour. That would be really disappointing. — This Grammy performance showed us again not to expect „too much“ from Avril.

The article the Museum wrote about her appearance was very positive. I don't think it affected their views on her.
Honestly, I don't even remember how some of her songs go and I listen to her all the time. Like there is one lyric in MHE that I just noticed 😬 but I am a lowly fan.

It's obvious she was not prepared to play Warrior and as it was a last minute request I'm not too bothered she forgot lyrics. Once she got the first line she was pretty much fine until the bridge. I would think that this indicates she probably won't be playing it on tour, I'll honestly be shocked if she does considering how much time she's spent in rehearsal lately. I've always thought Avril writes and records her songs and then doesn't listen to them again, which is why she forgets lyrics so much. She focuses on the singles and that's pretty much it. I think she genuinely believes that's what people want to hear from her. If she was super lazy she would have just never made a record again after getting sick. I think she's happy with her abilities and thus doesn't try to improve her musical skills. It can be annoying as a fan to watch at times because she should have grown as a guitar and piano player but she hasn't.

The writer that was hired by them to cover the experience wouldn’t insert negativity. The event is a PR piece. There isn’t much to be negative about, other than forgetting lyrics/ again not rising to the occasion of being that “artist” we all thought she was/can be. It would have been a great time to give insight into the writing process, maybe playing Everybody Hurts, or songs that she fought really hard for over the duration of her career. At this point, people, including myself, need to accept that what you see is what you get, and there isn’t as much depth as everyone once assumed. She can write solo, but her best songs are with co-writers. She’s a better vocalist than nearly every “pop star”, including miles ahead of Taylor, but that artist component isn’t where it was advertised to be for the majority of her career. It’s alright as a fan to feel a little duped when she continues to play Girlfriend and MHE, when we believe in her overall catalog more than she does.

It seems like Avril doesn’t really take it as serious as we do with those performances. She barely sings other songs than the singles and it seems like she feels completely fine with only performing MHE, HAW and GF (& Warrior). She produces a record and leaves it, seems like she doesn‘t even listen or sing it ever again as long as she doesn’t have to. At this point I don’t expect much anymore. I really love HAW the album so, so much but it will probably stay a dream that she performs much songs from it. Maybe during the tour a little and then never again. She clearly has other priorities than we and most of todays artists.

I really hope her not knowing Warrior is not an indication she hasn't been rehearsing it and therefore it won't be part of the tour. Maybe she just blanked on it because it was a request she wasn't expecting. She forgot her cue to come in for GF and that's a song she's performed for years. I'd be really surprised if Warrior won't be on the setlist, considering it's the album closer and one of the most personal songs on the album. At least I hope some shows it will be included.

I’m just glad she didn’t launch into the Patty Smyth version.

Sad, Avril might leave this album in the dust. One of her best releases in a long while.

Taylor has worked her *ss off to constantly improve in every way. She writes and composes better. She sings and plays guitar and piano better. She PERFORMS better. She takes pride in pleasing the audience and she dresses impeccably as a Star should🌟. Avril is just lazy. But I still love her. It's important to keep in mind that people are who they are. Avril seems to be really happy and finally in a good and healthy place in her life, and I think she's just chillin - though she's more or less always been this way, it's just how she is. People don't have to dress impeccably or live vibrantly for anyone. In a strange way, I'm glad she didn't let trends or whatever is popular in the moment change who she is. She even sits the same cross way she always has for many interviews. Just always doing her own thing, even if it's not often what we want from her. Love her tho.

I don’t know why people are getting their knickers in a twist over some forgotten lyrics. It is clearly indicative that she probably won’t be performing Warrior on her tour plus wasn’t it one of the first songs she wrote for HAW about 3 years ago?
And you cannot compare her to Taylor. I feel like Taylor as a pop star does not suit her, she looks awkward as fuck. She was better as a country star and I’m always doubtful that her live performances are totally live. I’d much rather Avril play guitar and fuck up some lyrics rather than her having twenty odd dancers on stage and pulling some funny faces with dodgy dance moves. I do like that You Need To Calm Down song tho...

If you know Patty Smyth, you would have understood the reference. It's possible Patti Smith was in your country last month. I don't think Patty Smyth has been outside the U.S. this year.
