He is. It’s not a live performance. I read about it and if I remember correctly they are streaming music videos Ohhh I see! Thought I was going mad hahahah “ This "HYPER House Festival 2020", which broadcasts music videos of popular artists belonging to each company on LINE LIVE for 3 days just like a real festival, is currently being announced to artists who have announced their performances and appearances in Japan. In addition, it is composed mainly of artists who are eager to live in Japan and artists who have shown crazy performances in Japan in the last few years. Although it's not a live video, there is also a production that you can feel like a festival, such as the release of a real timetable in a festival format.” www.sonymusic.co.jp/artist/avrillavigne/info/518987

So this time let's wait until May 31st for one more live performance Btw revious days have a few decent artists/bands too t.co/7z6mxnXqjN?amp=1P. S. If you wanna watch that performance really in a live mode, you will need again that Live Line App like it was with Avril live there last spring. And... for that also you need to make things complicated and pretend like somebody else Japanese xD. On the other hand, you can just wait for the screen recording live on YouTube or somewhere else as usually... this may be the thickest post I’ve ever made but I thought Avicii was dead.....?!
It is a bit weird though... all the other artists are alive (I think) and then randomly put him there...

Maybe it's a re run of an old gig he did when he was alive?

I listened to HAW yesterday and GOD I love this album, it's so deeply in my heart it's insane! <3 Same. It’s creeping up my album rankings. I think I put UMS and TBDT above it for nostalgic reasons rather than quality. Realistically I think HAW is second to LG.

Yes I actually love HAW as well and after a while maybe even better than GL but that changes based on my mood. Right now I‘m in a phase where I‘m just sick of hearing GL lol (still live it tho) I even like Birdie even though I didn’t like it that much in the beginning. From Souvenir on I think I enjoy every song. I like it that the album is not completely dark or fun but a mixture of moods. That makes the storytelling aspect of the arrangement more realistic. After a while I think IWIM is a little overrated. It‘s a great song but lyrically not that strong. Kind of.. or maybe I‘m just tired of listening to it. It was my number one track on Spotify last year.

To me, it’s the other way around. From Souvenir onwards the album takes a turn for the worse. Generic songs and awful fillers. I still don’t understand why she scrapped songs like Bright, Break It So Good and In Touch for songs like LMI, Bigger Wow and Goddess. I still however can’t say I genuinely dislike a song other than LMI, but meh, I think it was sort of a letdown for a comeback album. It’s still better than AL tho, and depending on the time, I like it better than GL.
HAW, Birdie, Devil, IWIM, Warrior and maybe even TMIO are among the top best tracks. DB is great but doesn’t fit the album at all.
I think it would’ve been a much stronger album with the scrapped songs replacing others. Probably could’ve been my third fave album even. I know In Touch is probably too similar with Souvenir, but they’re different enough to be two separate tracks, just like Crush is from TMIO.
My tier: Best tracks (in my opinion, among the best of her carreer): HAW, Devil, Birdie Great tracks: IWIM, TMIO, Warrior, Dumb Blonde Good tracks; Crush, Souvenir “Ok” to “Meh” tracks: Bigger Wow and Goddess “Why does it even exist?” track: Love Me Insane

Those are some good points you raised. I agree with basically everything you wrote just that I would rate the songs differently. For example, it is my opinion that TMIO and HAW are her best songs from the 2010s decade (albums 4-6).

I too actually prefer the second half of the album to the first. There’s nothing wrong with the first half, but I think some of those tracks like HAW, Devil, and IWIM are overrated, while Souvenir, Crush, Bigger Wow, LMI are underrated. Bright, Break It So Good, etc. are strong tracks but I can see why she wanted to include some uplifting tracks at the end instead.

I think just HAW and Devil alone are better than GL itself. WITH THAT BEING SAID i still love GL and i think it has some great songs. At the same time i think we always tend to compare her songs but sometimes you just can't do that.
For example, is it fair to compare WTH with HAW? i don't think so, one song is straight pure pop, funny lyrics, a party anthem if you will, and the other one is a praeyer for help, deeper lyrics and apparently, according to Wikipedia, a christian rock song. SO i think is unfair to compare songs like these. Tomorrow VS Hello Kitty, I'm With You VS Smile? i don't know.
That's why i can understand that a lot of us prefer Bright over LMI...BUT that's not the real question here. It would be better to compare Bright with IWIM for example, and at this point, the "which one is better for the album" get a little bit more complicated u know.
I would categorize her songss into different styles and then compare the songs: 1. Fun songs/party anthems (WTH, HTNGU, maybe Smile, SK8er boi, GF, DB....like... uplifting funny party songs) 2. Ballads, obviously (KHO, WYG, IWY, WAW) 3. Mid-tempo pop rock songs. (rockier and darker in sound songs) (most of UMS, some LG, HAW, Devil)
So...with that being said, i think Haw is her 4th best album (i still think TBDT is more cohesive and unique, even if it's not that deep but then again, you have 2 of her best ballads ever in that album). Better than AL5, and a little bit more balanced than GL (even tho GL has some great pop songs)
i don't know if i made my point but i hope no one gets mad lol xD

^ No I agree, sometimes trying to compare her music is like apples to oranges. You can’t compare a ballad to a party song, or a meaningful song to a song that’s intended to be pure fun.

I really like that the second half is more uplifiting. I love the whole album obviously but after a few very very dark songs I'm always in a mood for the other ones as well! TMIO really is one of the best tracks on the album. Masterpiece!
