How do we know it’s not just fan-made? I don’t think there’s really a way to tell apart from the leaker’s word, but if it’s worth anything, it sounds weird and electronic similar to the warrior demos that also leaked. Hearing some of these HAW leaks makes me glad she decided to go a different direction with the production for that album. That extra year of wait seems to of been worth it. Who knows what it would have sounded like if she had kept Rotem’s production/songs. |

It's not real, it's just an alterbois remix. It’s not made by alterbois as far as I know.  it was leaked hours before they uploaded it to YouTube. Someone leaked it before the person asking for a trade could trade it.. |

To me, judging by the sound quality, this does sound like it could be real. The other version of "Lights Out" that got l**ked a couple of months ago has a bit of a lower quality sound to it. I also find that this remix sounds very similar to this snippet that was l**ked ages ago: soundcloud.com/avrillavigneleaks/avril-lavigne-lights-outHowever, I'm pretty sure the snippet is the Steve Aoki remix. So... does this mean there are two remixes? The as yet unreleased one made by Steve Aoki, and the newly l**ked one mixed by Rotem? I'd never even heard of a Rotem remix before...  Either way, this supposed "Rotem remix" (or whatever it is) sounds awful imo. Doesn't even suit the song at all. If Rotem really did create this, it's crazy to me how he could produce a masterpiece such as "Birdie", yet also create this god-awful "Lights Out" remix. |

I’m just speculating, but having the majority of the album produced by Rotem at first (there’s also a version of HAW produced by him) would explain why Av took so long to find producers for it. Remember it was basically delayed because she was looking for the right producers after their breakup? |

Omg, it is so bad lol This says you can't really foce certain music style into a specific mood.
I think it's real. There are never-heard-before harmonies from "Call me down" and the breathy voice from pre-chorus. Those vocals and tone couldn't be layed without Avril there.
I'm glad she found new producers, otherwise Head Above Water the song would be another mess
