Whoever posted those leaked scripts on Reddit so MORONS can comment on random Facebook posts with major spoilers is the worst person in the entire universe. That’s all. Hmph. Really? Thank god I didn't read any of it! is it ruined for you now? So annoying! Not all of it but I saw a bit about the throne. Such a pain. It’ll still be fab though I’m sure!

Hmmmm thoughts? I’ve enjoyed this series as a whole but wasn’t very impressed with that episode.

For such a spectacular series, the ending pretty underwhelming. It was barely satisfactory. Then again, it wasn't as bad as the series finales for 'Seinfeld' or 'Dexter'. Those were just terrible. Sansa becoming Queen of the North was a bit of a shocker.

Agree. I’ve enjoyed series 8 as a whole but that episode fell a bit flat for me. Barely even notice Dany die, it’s over so quickly then they didn’t even show anyone finding out about it, they just skip to a week later or whatever and they all already know and are over it. Very odd way to kill off such a major character. As you say, a bit underwhelming for such a fantastic show. I’ve no idea how I wanted it to end but I was expecting a bit more than that.

HBO told the creators of the show to make as many episodes as they want to to end the series and they seriously said they only need to make six to tell the whole story. They were idiots to do so. Everything is way to rushed. Thanks God there are still two books to look forward to. On a positive note, Sweet Robin really had the glow up of the century, lmao. In the end when Sansa is getting dressed I even thought for a second she's getting wed to him. And the most important thing of all, Bronn FINALLY got his castle

I'm looking forward to the spin-off, 'West of Westeros' (Beyond the Map).

I am so dissapointed by the end. So many butchered characters and plotholes. The endless plotarmor and bad writing. I can't for The Winds Of Winter tho and im sure the ending of A Dream Of Spring will be much better

I found the last episode rather underwhelming, too. The first half was pretty good. How Dany died and Drogon's reaction. When he melted the damn throne, I actually had to cry a little. But the second half felt so rushed. Suddenly the remaining characters come up with these great solutions and everyone simply agrees. Quite anticlimactic and kind of unrealistic.

I didn't understand that at all. Why wouldn't he roast the guy that whacked his "mom"?

I guess it’s supposed to be him destroying the thing that actually killed her, her desire for the throne. But I’m not sure why we’re suddenly suppose to believe dragons are THAT intelligent lol.

Well, if the dragon was that intelligent, then he was equally complicit in the slaughter of innocents. If he was that smart, he knows he was turning innocent people into crispy critters.

Lame ending... SO rushed.. Like you all said, Dany dies and then it's like everyone already knows and we're picking a new king. Jon and Tormund are going 'behind' the Wall again, Arya leaves...?! Like, where is she going? Sansa became Queen of the North and Brann King and that's it..? No more. You would expect also a big ending that leaves you satisfied or overwhelmd but not this. I don't know how I wanted it to end but this is kinda crappy tho.

I didn't understand that at all. Why wouldn't he roast the guy that whacked his "mom"? I have two theories about that: Dragons are supposed to be really intelligent, more intelligent than humans (I think it says so in the books). So Drogon probably knew that what Dany really killed was her desire for the throne. Why did he kill hundreds of innocent people then? Maybe - and I know this sounds kind of far-fetched - but maybe he was blinded by his hunger for power, too. Until his mother was killed, that's when he "woke up".
My other theory is that Drogon just let out a scream and shot fire in frustration, sadness, and anger. And the Iron Throne just happened to be in the way of the jet of flame. Why didn't he kill Jon? Maybe because his grief was so deep, nothing really mattered to him anymore, not even if Jon lived or died.
But what I actually liked most about Drogon's reaction was how he nudged Dany and the complete disbelief in his expression. It was just like with Simba and his father in "The Lion King".

You've made very good point and I can see both of your theories working!! Indeed the nudging got me big time. I was sad his 'mum' died. Still wonder where he was going to with her
