I'm not even listening. I'm mesmerized by how beautiful she looks and the clothes. I love the whole look.

I don’t want to sound rude or anything, but at this point I feel that some people will just ALWAYS find something to complain about, whether it’s her not giving new information, or her giving information, but not detailed enough or too vague, or her talking with a “dumb blonde” accent, or moving too much, or being too still, or too happy or too serious. I’ve always been critical of her career in different aspects, but I do know when there is good material and this is one of them. Yes, the video is trimmed and edited, but have you taken a look at the other Genius videos? Maybe it’s the style they go for. These cuts are actually good in videos to make them dynamic and keep the viewer engaged. At some point we have got to stop being so nitpicking and just enjoy when we have new material.
She actually gave a lot of new information on this video and cleared a few doubts we had, like it wasn’t an ex-husband, that he had proposed to her, that at the end of the video she breaks the coffin to set herself free and she walks away (many had interpreted it differently). Avril barely goes deep into the meaning of her songs, and she’s gone as far as telling us the guy (Rotem) proposed to her and that she said no and that she wrote the song crying. She didn’t have to say a word about that and still opened up. We have to give it to her this time around. The thing we complain about the most is how she is too introverted, and now that she’s tearing those walls down, there’re still people complaining it’s not enough.

Genius videos are like that ^ she's not the only one with a heavily edited video. It doesn't even matter if it is. The comments on YouTube are almost all positive.

So happy to see a new video and indeed she explained a lot! Good she cleared up that part of the video where she broke herself out of the coffin! And indeed... He proposed..! And gave her a teddy bear I guess!

Honestly.. I didn’t notice ONE single bad thing on the video until I‘ve read the comments here! And some of you write a lot „like“ when you comment.. sooo. I really enjoyed that interview, so much, that I was smiling through the whole thing. I liked her being so active, seeing her smile and laugh and jump around. There is no other interview from this era where she is like that and I like it. — The comment section is again one thing I really hate in that video. There are people trolling, saying „wasn‘t she dead?“ and all that sh*t.

I probably say ‘like’ a lot in my day to day vocabulary. It is not just a Californian thing although it maybe to do with growing up with a lot of American telly as a kid!

There’s a difference between using it every so often in conversation and using it between every other word. I find it annoying when it’s constant like that, tbh It’s like people who use the word “literally” all the time. It’s just annoying. You know, just because some of us found the Valley Girl talk annoying doesn’t mean we still didn’t enjoy what she had to say. But it does make her look exactly like a “dumb blonde” when she can’t articulate a sentence without using the word “like” between every word or explain something without stating the obvious. Isn’t that kind of the point of interviews like this?

The Valley accent does, you know, like, you know, sound a bit, like, annoying, sometimes? although it also is like, in my opinion, one of the, like, sort of least aggressive/belligerent sounding, you know, accents out there? Either way, regarding this I'd quote my driving instructor's words of wisdom (that he repeated too many times); 'Thank god we're not all the same'.

Isn’t that kind of the point of interviews like this? I have a useless anecdote regarding this phenomenon, we had a prime minister here a few years back who is also one of the top legal experts in the country, and he always overused two things in his speeches, one was saying (translated) " I'd say", the other was an extreme overuse of the word " well", which in this language also can mean " therefore", so his sentences always ended up something like ' I'd say that, well, we have been doing these, well, reforms, and they have, I'd say, therefore, been occupying, therefore, much of our schedule. Here's the bias, though, people think the way he speaks is just a type of a drab bureaucratic dialect, so there wasn't as much criticism over it, compared to the flak that people speaking in a Valley dialect (especially women) get for doing the same thing. Is there a correlation between certain types of dialects and an apparent deficiency in capabilities to express yourself 'richly'? There might be, but I think that dialects themselves railroad you into a certain speech pattern, regardless of your knowledge or education.

I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I found nothing wrong with her speaking voice and did not notice all the "likes". She's been obnoxious in her Snapchat stories but I heard no trace of that on here. But I am from LA so I talk very similar and use like a lot too sometimes 😅. This is how I like to see Avril. She was upbeat through the whole interview and did not lower her voice like when she has one interviewer focusing on her. Asking personal questions. She was not shy. I like it. Her clothes are also very nice. I hope she dresses like this for her tour except add some shine or color so I could see her lol. And I was right she was wearing a Marilyn Manson shirt. I kind of want it so if anyone knows where to buy it please tell me. Heartbreaking explosion, WTH, Bigger Wow !!!! You live in the same city as Avril !?! Have you ever seen her, met her somewhere (caffee bars, clubs, restaurants, shopping center, cinema, city center). If not, imagine how great it would be, for example: You are with your friends at a coffee bar or restaurant when Avril enters with her friends at the same coffee bar / restaurant !!!

LA is huge and there are different areas (city/county). Avril is not close to where I am and will definitely not set foot here. I'd have to go to her and idk where she is. She's renting in BH? But idk where she hangs out. Probably with the rich people. My chance was Malibu (I don't live close just visiting) when she dated Brody. I looked but no Avril. I don't seek her out tbh I'd be super shy approaching her.
