I literally just want to know if it’s postponed or cancelled. It’s such a simple question I’ve no idea why we still don’t know the answer. Other artists have either rescheduled or been clear that they’re trying to or been clear that it’s cancelled. Why are her team so, so, so shit? Literally no excuse.

My guess would be that its not yet cancelled. It seems to be indefinitely postponed. I think the problem being that nobody has a clue when concerts and the like will be sanctioned again. And its a tricky one, because say if Germany sanctions large gatherings, the UK for example might not.
If it does get rescheduled, then surely it would have to be next year now. I'm amazed at the amount of concerts being rearranged for the autumn of this year. Can see them being postponed gain, maybe that's what Avril's team are trying to avoid.

It's not that simple. She doesn't know when this will be over, it's not up to her. She can reschedule for Autumn and ending up cancelling again.Or she can reschedule for early 2021, that's 1 year ahead, and if she's currently writing new music maybe it has no sense touring with the Head Above Water Tour more than 2 years after the record was out. Or maybe it has if she keep releasing singles and stuff from this era. She also can't cancel right away cause promoters are finnancially struggling and these decisions may cause the bankruptcy of several of them. Some bandaiders posted above how their countries are changing laws allowing these companies to keep the money for refunds more time, to save the industry. We just have to be patient and wait, it's not like we need a weekly update of her saying: "Hey guys I still don't know if the tour is happening or not, we'll see".

I'm willing to bet most of these tours which have been rescheduled, especially for later this year, only did so to avoid having to pay out refunds with money they don't have right now. They know they'll probably have to push them back again or cancel but it delays them having to pay out for the hundreds of events and tours going on in the next few months all in 1 go which would cripple the industry.

I’m definitely thinking anyone who scheduled shows for the fall is going to have to postpone them again. Unless it’s a certain crowd size maybe. I think since no one really knows when concerts will be safe again, they should just cancel the tour and reschedule it under a different name as essentially a new tour whenever it’s safe to do so. But as others pointed out, we don’t know everything that goes on behind the scenes or how the music/concert industry works. I’d like to hope Avrils team has been working with the promoters to try to figure out a solution. But I also agree she could say at least as much as she knows since I think fans have the right to know if there’s even a chance the shows will be rescheduled.

I don’t blame Avril for this. The only thing I‘d be mad about her would be that she never said much about anything. The problem is, she made only the announcement that the shows in spring were cancelled but no one ever said if they will be postponed.. the only ones who say that are the ones who organize the events. If it‘s postponed then it‘s fine with the money but I don’t like it when nothings clear and they have my money. I didn’t pay for that. I would rather donate Avril the money for the show instead of leaving it there..

I don’t blame her at all - she says what she’s told to. I blame her team for awful, awful communication when people have money tied up in tickets. I don’t expect them to reschedule this year, I agree events likely won’t happen this year, but so many artists who were due to tour when she was (and later) have already rescheduled for next year. Leave it too long and venues next year simply won’t have space trying to fit in rescheduled tours from this year and artists who were already planning to tour in 2021. I don’t mind either way if they cancel or reschedule, but I would like to know one way or the other.
There’s no excuses cos it’s always the same with her team. Other artists aren’t managed this badly. If her team are working with promoters to sort it then why aren’t other artists in the same situation? All I’m seeing from others is the tour is cancelled or the tour is being rescheduled, not a completely vague statement with no further news like we’ve had.

I wonder if it has to do with prioritization of certain artists over others. Someone said something about that here a while ago. Could be that even though the tour sold really well and Avril is a high profile artist, she's not currently an A-lister like for example Harry Styles, Billie, etc. Other artists who were scheduled to tour might get first priority over her if they are more popular maybe.

She just said for ET that they will/were/will rescheduling. It sounded like they have no idea what they're doing, but hey, at least an update.

I've just received this e-mail from Mojo Netherlands:
"You are receiving this e-mail because this e-mail address was used to purchase tickets for the Avril Lavigne concert on Friday March 20th at AFAS Live, Amsterdam. As we announced earlier, this concert will be rescheduled because of the measures taken by the Dutch government to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) as much as possible. Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to find a new date for this concert. We are still working with the artist to reschedule the show and hope to have clarity as soon as possible regarding when the concert by Avril Lavigne will take place. We ask for your understanding and patience in this exceptional situation. As soon as we have news about the concert by Avril Lavigne in AFAS Live, all ticket buyers will receive another email and we will post it on our website".

I’m having a hard time understanding what she says. I literally replayed that part a couple times and all I understood was “it’s unfortunate...wrrwrrw rescheduling...” 🤪🤪 but if she actually says they’re rescheduling, I’m happy!
