Yeah but that's the way things are now. We're talking in 6 months time. Anything could happen in that time. At the moment I feel 50/50 in terms of it going ahead. But its certainly not time to panic just yet. Oh, it is worth worrying/paniking about as the worst is yet to come, when winter rolls round its going to devastate even more than what has already happened Maybe, but I'd like to think countries will be more prepared for the second wave than for the first.

While I also have some concerns whether the shows will really be able to take place next year due to Covid, I still have to say: the fact that they added a show in Stuttgart may be (some of) the best news I've heard so far this year. I live much closer to Stuttgart than Munich, the Stuttgart show will take place on a Saturday, prices are almost exactly the same as all the other German shows, and there are even freaking seats available! Also, barely anyone I really care about ever comes to Stuttgart, which makes this even more special for me. Anyway, I bought two tickets for the Stuttgart show about a week ago; they arrived today. As for the Munich tickets, eventim (where I bought them) told me I can return them in exchange for a coupon.

I don't know if this is the right place but after seeing people posting stuff from twitter, I've seen many tweets throwing shade to Bandaids community for "not taking any part in what "small" accounts do to promote Avril". I know it's not Bandaids work but I guess they think this fandom or community can reach Avril and talk to her to communicate what fans would love to see or listen. Just wanted to bring this here bc I think it's the right place but of course not the right topic.

I don’t think Bandaids has the contact with Avril/her team it once did anymore. The old admins used to meet her all the time (didn’t they get invited to an album release party too?).
Honestly even if any fans did have contact with her I don’t think she’d really care or listen - she’s always very much done what she wanted. Everyone loved the IG lives so she stopped, lol

I don't think they expect us to get in direct contact with her but I do sometimes see thigns vaguely on social media like streaming parties etc but none of it gets mentioned here so I think it's more the attitude that they're trying to do things to help promote/support Avril like with voting, streaming etc and Bandaids never gets involved

They don't share it here though. Maybe they mean the bandaids Twitter? I search Avril on the Twitter sometimes, last time there was a streaming party. But it's hard with differing time zones. Someone on bandaids did one (Alex? I think) around the time HAW came out but again time zones 🤷. And the voting polls do show up on here.
Btw I would like to expand on why I don't believe in fan polls. There are some exceptions btw I'm not that jaded. But mostly I am jaded. See, I was once on Twitter when HAW came out. Radio stations ask who we want them to play so I put Avril but they never did acknowledge it. Music Twitter's would ask what single, music video, etc is whatever and I would put Avril and I'd see others do the same. Nada. Only Zach Sang acknowledged it once.

^ Well that goes back to what I was saying before about how things like fan polls and such don't actually work. Magazines and other media outlets will do fan polls to attract eyeballs to their brand, that's it. The results of the poll are inconsequential. Remember when there was a fan voted award for Much Music I think it was and Avril clearly got more votes but they gave it to Justin Bieber instead? Yeah, because he was more popular at the time, so it was probably prearranged to give it to him regardless of how many votes he would get. Some artists even pay for awards or radio play.
My boyfriend and I both work in broadcast media, including radio. My boyfriend has worked in radio much longer than I have and he once told me that at the radio station we used to work at together, the DJ's would be asking for requests but they really just had a song already synched up and were waiting for someone to request it. Once someone finally requested that particular song, that's what they would play. I know many fans go to bat for their faves by doing radio requests, I don't know how successful it is, maybe it works for some artists depending on the genre?
I also remember the time Avril asked fans to choose which single they wanted to be the 2nd single from GL, between Push and Smile, and even though Smile got more votes, it was obvious they would have gone with Smile regardless of the results. There's a reason why she wrote exactly 4 songs with Max Martin, since she usually releases 4 singles from an album. There's no way RCA was going to leave a Max Martin song as an album track.
The music/entertainment industry is a bunch of smoke and mirrors. Most results, awards, etc. are determined in advance. Anything that's voted on by professional panels usually contains bias and their own self-interests. It's likely one of the reasons why Avril has never won or been nominated for a Grammy since her debut, because she simply doesn't have the pull or influence with the panel of voters. No amount of fans saying they want to see her come on some award show or anything else is going to actually make it happen. It's why most artists have managers and agents and all that stuff - because it's literally their whole job to go to bat for their client and get them booked on these things, not leave it up to a bunch of fans tweeting and hope for the best.

I honestly don’t really understand all the fan group twitter politics but honestly I don’t see a problem with Bandaids promoting/not promoting certain things. In terms of the forum community, a lot of the most active users are older and have work etc and aren’t interested in or don’t have time for streaming parties and voting excessively and all that. I know Bandaids has a larger audience on twitter but the Bandaids admins don’t get the same perks the old admins used to, its not like they promote this and that and help her win stuff and get invited to her release parties like the old admins did. It was worth the time and effort they put in on social media back then lol. She’s never going to be big like she was no matter how many accounts get involved in stuff. If people want to vote and all stream together then great, I don’t see the point in “shading” other parts of the fanbase/twitter accounts that aren’t interested.

I absolutely agree there's no reason in shading part of fanbase who isn't interested in streaming together or voting, just like there's no reason to put negativity in the younger part of the fandom, who haven't lived the TRL era and stuff who wants to vote and believe she could be back to be, even just a little bigger than she is now

If people want to give it a go then that’s great and I hope it works, but it’s a waste of energy being frustrated at fans/twitter accounts that don’t get involved
