‘Hello Kitty’ To Be Turned Into Film For 2019 ReleaseIconic Japanese brand Hello Kitty, famous globally for the red-bowed cat with six symmetrical whiskers, is getting her own film adaptation. Japanese lifestyle company Sanrio is planning to finance and produce a feature based on the character and release it globally in 2019. The film will go through Sanrio’s recently established U.S. subsidiary. They at least need to feature Hello Kitty on the soundtrack. I mean... it's right there for them.
I can totally see her begging to be a part of this in some way though. If it's animated she could do a voice role like in Over The Hedge.

And after Bob Squarepants'...Hello Kitty's soundtrack! I love it when Avril goes for the most grown up, mature audiences, showing her evolution as an artist  Seriously though I'm sure Avril is over the moon with the news. |

I'm sure that Avril is going to try to be part of this in one way or another. They might even ask her to, considering her popularity in Japan and she's well known for her HK obsession.

The song could always be edited to take out any parts that would potentially be too racy for a kids movie; and Avril could also re-record some parts of it if necessary. I don't think Avril would mind having to edit or re-record parts if it meant the song was going to be featured in a Hello Kitty movie.

Maybe like what they did with The Smurfs where the smurfs were CGI but they were in a live action human world. So Hello Kitty and friends would be CGI but everything else live action They could use the instrumental and the chorus (out of contect it's not obviously dirty. Kids wouldn't realise) at some point in the movie. |

The song could always be used during the ending credits when the movie is over and people are leaving the theater. It's not such a great spot to have your song in movie, but the song would still be in it without drawing too much attention to itself and therefore not putting emphasis on its lyrics.
The song will probably not be used anyway. Who knows though. It would be awesome if they did an official rock remix for the movie though; making the song sound more like it did when she performed it on tour.

I think Avril has actually always loved Hello Kitty but just was never open about it until more recently. There is a HK doll visible in her bedroom in the My World documentary:  I think if Avril had come out back then and said she liked HK, she'd have gotten tons of shit for it because it wouldn't have matched up with her "rocker girl/skater chick" image. Or maybe back then she used to just like it, but in more recent years she's become more of a serious collector/more obsessed. |
