How is the situation with people who deny the virus exists in your countries? Or people who still say it's less dangerous than a normal flu and therefore there should not be any restrictions? Cause here in Germany people are getting very weird.... thousands of people "protesting" and meeting without any distance, telling the weirdest conspiracies etc. We are handling the situation okay-ish and therefore our cases don't rise that quickly and so people say the virus isn't real. It's such a mess. hi eismann, long time no see. Hope you’re fine. Yes, I’ve a colleague at work who doesn’t believe that Corona is real. Whenever I see her I just nod because I don’t want to discuss that with her as she is a firm believer that it really -absolutely- doesn’t exist. A friend of mine had Corona and she said it’s like a very bad flu. It’s really weird how some people have no symptoms and other people suffer a lot. By the way, my friend is fine again!

So lockdown it is for The Netherlands, grocery stores and a pharmacy and stores like that may be open but nothing else. It will be up to January 19th. 2 visitors a day and during Christmas 3. Well.. it's sad tho. I've nothing else to say about it for now.

Well.. it's sad tho. I've nothing else to say about it for now. I have a lot of trouble trying to make sense of it. There are these exceptions, i just can't get my head around them... I mean, people still get to go to LIBRARIES to get books and visit the WEEKLY MARKETS... Meanwhile, the way it's being portrayed, only ESSENTIAL stores are opened for basic needs. I'm sorry, call me barbaric, but I don't think books are a basic need. Sure, they'll make your time in lockdown a little less horrible, but c'mon! (lol, there's a lot of frustration, since I'm working at the local library and just feel like we're not helping AT ALL by staying open. When the advice is to stay home UNLESS it's necessary to go outside, why invite people to come and borrow some books?). At least I hope that people will start to see the seriousness of it. Like mentioned earlier on this topic, the group of deniers and followers of conspiracy theories is becoming louder, bigger and more passive-agressive. It worries and scares me, and makes me fear that this situation is only going to get worse. Soooooo... Avril, time to give us some positivity vibes

I thought I've read somewhere Hema and Action were allowed to be open since they sell food but since today they are closed again wich is good. I found it weird there are still soooo many cars on the road when I drive to work and I even heard in some cases people can work from home but their boss wouldn't allow that... that's insane, if you work like an accountant and can't work from home that doesn't make sense. We have a lot of people even at my work who are lacking rules and say Corona doesn't exist, so stupid! Cause of that we're in this shit. Uncle Bob! Lmao xD

It’s basically been proven that activities like visiting libraries or eating at restaurants isn’t what’s causing cases to rise, at least not where I live. It’s the small, intimate gatherings people are having at home without masks or social distancing that’s causing cases to go up. Visiting a library for a few minutes to pick out a book isn’t going to give you COVID.

I think so too, but a lot of people aren't keeping the 1,5 meter distance and I know people who come together without masks and indeed not keeping their distance. Also kids spread the virus, I know a few cases the parents aren't going anywhere but kids on school or play dates with their little friends can infect their parents without knowing. Schools should be closed such as play dates for kids. They haven't symptoms themselves but are making others sick (not that I blame kids but parents should know better).
