Maybe it should have been a stand alone release instead of being on self-titled but that album wasn't cohesive or though through anyway. HK is one of the only tracks on self-titled I still play from time to time. OT: WAW out in 4 hours when it's midnight in New Zealand?  |

Maybe she the song will be too „cliché“ and maybe it won’t be a big hit but I‘m fine with that. Of course, I wish as well that the lyrics are not „We are warriors...“ and so on but even if, I‘m just glad Avril shows some appreciation to those who really work hard.
I‘m just happy that she puts out something.

Right - I think as usual fans are already raising their expectations and setting themselves up for disappointment. It’s Avril. We know what to expect from her at this point. I am basically expecting minimal lyric changes like “We are Warriors, we’ll fight for our lives.” The singles likely not going to be that commercially successful, but that isn’t the point. The point of this project isn’t for her to make any profit or highlight herself. It’s about the actual people who are working hard at this time and trying to give people a little bit of hope and inspiration. We were all complaining she wasn’t doing anything, now she’s decided to release a remix of the song with a nice video and even perform it on livestream for us. That’s already a ton more than I expected from her.

Just wondering, why some of you guys when talking about Warrior (or when it was supposed to be IWIM) you refer to it as the 4th single instead of the 5th? I've read it so many times here that I wonder, which one of the 4 singles off this era you don't count it as a single and why?

Well. At least she re-recorded it...  I think it’s time for once and for all to realize we’re never getting anything extra from her other than something extremely basic. Even a stripped down version with a piano would’ve been better than just keeping the exact same track. I can’t see myself really returning to this version of the song. |
