I wouldn't mind more collabs to be honest, as long as the album will still be released this year, that's the only request. But a collab with ModSun for her album and another one with MGK i think could be cool. Or maybe that collab with Marshmellow. OR she could get Demi for a track as she did a remix of I Love Me feat. Travis Barker and it sounded pretty much like an Avril song. Even tho i don't like Demi, I think their voices could work well since she also started doing pop-rock back in the day.
And well, yeah, obviously a Taylor collab would be amazing, it's probably never going to happen but... Regardless of the collabs she does or wants to do in the future AL7 needs to come this year, that's all.

As I said in the other thread I Can't believe people are seriously discussing her using MFP as a title. This is "pink crust" all over again. A rumour fans came up with that other fans think is likely without any proof. MFP was from her 3rd album and she's referenced it or been called it by fans since. She probably doesn't have an album title yet It’s Avril though - it’s probably more likely than we think...!! |

Yeah but usually albums don't have swears in the title. I mean, i know there are...but it's not the best marketing strategy i guess. "f***ing" is a pretty strong word, i don't know if they would want the GP (including kids) to be exposed to that or to create this bad image for her (?) idk

I mean if she ends up calling the album like the only thing she will obtain is to destroy her reputation again. It took like a decade for people to appreciate her first 3 albums and is she really going to act this immature? i hope not. There's a fine line between funny and cringey. That she wants to dress more like Modsun (as in the behind the scenes of flames)? that's ok, it's nothing too crazy. She looked really good in the flames cover, even tho i'm not a big fan of those colored extensions. So we'll see how the era goes.

Again, all this MFP was a thing that not so hardcore fans liked, of course most of them are people under their 20's. I guess that they aren't able to differentiate the idea of having an Avril doing pop-rock/punk-rock music and that she can behave like a mature person and have fun at the same time. Maybe these non hardcore fans are living with the idea of an eternal the best damn thing Avril and they can't see she's more than that, not only musically but as a human being. I mean, you can act like a teenager all your life, but not many people would see it as a "normal" thing when you're 40. We also know Avril has never been the kind of person that care much about what people say or think, but she really got used to people calingl her "mother fucking princess".

I just posted this in the Flames thread but reading the reactions here I feel it also belongs here: I have to agree that I hope the album title is not MFP. Not only would it be a bit cringey given she's more grown up now but also several issues could arise that would lead to weird situations. For example: I seem to have noticed a lot of her older music was pretty prominently censored? If she went with "Motherfucking Princess" in full: Would they release censored covers for the album then ("Motherfrickin' Princess") and the explicit version has the actual title on there? Would be very odd. What about discussing it when promoting it in places where she's not allowed to swear? She couldn't say the album title in full out loud then. Of course you get around this by making it hip and titling it just "MFP" (which of course also has a nice connotation with MVP). But then you still end up with an older nickname that was fun in different times being used as her main brand identity. That makes it seem like she's run out of ideas and is stuck in a corner which is never a good sign and turns people off I think. I think the reaction I see here of fans already saying "please not MFP" says enough.
Although maybe if she wants to reclaim her title and be more mature she should call it "Motherfucking Queen" instead?  Interesting ame · 雨 , that you also thought about the possible problem of promoting an album title with a "strong" word. |

Please let's just bury this MFP idea for the album, pour concrete over it and never talk about it again 🤐 It's all cute and fun to use it in the comment section of her instagram/twitter, but it's such a huge no-no for an album title IMO. But I think she and her team know that it would be a bad idea, for reasons you all have already listed.

Tbh, pink crust sounds far better than her album/song names post goodbye lullaby.
Self titled is a too all over the place mess.
HAW is just generic. There is a nice message behind the album but the album itself is meh.

I'm not sure how they handled that in promo though. I think it was abbreviated to just NFR. And since when does the music industry care what kids are exposed to? Lmao half the shit on the charts isn't appropriate for kids yet they are the ones streaming all of it (ex: Ariana Grande, not at all kid appropriate yet most of her fans are high school girls). Don't think Avril's team cares at all about Avril being family friendly, I mean she has never been a family friendly artist exactly. |

Anyone remember this song called "Fuck You" by CeeLo Green? They changed it to "Forget You" for the clean version. Green Day released their album "Father of All Motherfuckers" just a year ago, but in the clean version, it's always referred to as "Father of All..." and the album cover has this dumb unicorn blocking half of the word "motherfuckers". P!nk's single "Fuckin' Perfect" became just "Perfect" for the clean version. Same with MCR: There's a song on their second album that includes the word "fucking" but on the back of the CD / physical copy this swear word is just left out, it doesn't exist (but the song title still makes sense, like with P!nk's "Perfect"). Just to name a few examples.  So, there would definitely be a way to censor the "motherfucking princess" thing, even if it was the album title. But for the love of God (and us hardcore fans), PLEASE Avril, if you read this, DON'T call your next album, or any other album (or song) in the future "Mother Fucking Princess" or MFP or something like that.
