You can tell your whole experience about your first concert! I'm too lazy to tell the whole story so I'm just gonna say it was Avril Lavigne in 2014. I was in high school and I went to the concert with my dad and my little sister. Not that it's a bad thing

I think my first concert ever was either something like The Dome or Bravo Supershow OR Robbie Williams xD I really can’t remember exactly...those were the „unimportant“ concerts lol

My parents took us to free jazz and classical music concerts as kids, I also had to attend a couple jazz concerts for a college class, but my first real concert for a mainstream act was of course Avril Lavigne!
I attended the AL Tour in 2014, I had to wait 12 years to finally be able to see her live and I always wanted my first proper concert to be hers. It was one of the best nights of my whole life!
In 2016 and 2017, I then saw a former American Idol finalist named Dalton Rapattoni (also got to meet him).
In 2018, we saw Bowling for Soup at a free concert at a festival in my hometown. My boyfriend and I aren’t like big fans or anything but we figured since the concert was free, why the heck not?! Lol
In 2019, we saw Weird Al because my boyfriend is a huge fan and we also had VIP passes to meet him afterwards. My boyfriend was SO excited and we have an autographed photo with Weird Al and it’s his favorite picture lol That same year we also saw Avril again on the HAW tour, then a free concert by the Spin Doctors at that same festival in my town.
Obviously no concerts happening this year.

Summer of '66, the year I turned 14, I had my first date and concert experience, at the same time. It was a long day. There were four acts that played, in between games, of a baseball double header. I remember my team, the Cleveland Indians, lost both games, to the New York Yankees. Mickey Mantel and Roger Maris played that day. I only remember three, of the four acts. The headliner was Bobby Vee. The other national act I remember, was the Lemon Pipers. I've forgotten the third nationally famous group. I remember the only local group very well, because two years later, I became their drummer.

It was Avril on the Bonez tour in on 4th October 2004 in Birmingham. My mum came with me cos I was only 12 haha. Simple Plan supported that date but I think most of Europe had Bowling For Soup, and I remember being really disappointed about that cos I love BFS. Though I’ve seen Bowling For Soup countless times now, most recently this year with Simple Plan as support, so I’m just about over it 12 year old me had the best time anyway. I still have the t shirt I bought in a cupboard somewhere. I threw the glow stick away when I moved out but I kept that for years and years haha. This reminded me I found my old YouTube videos from TBDTour I uploaded in 2008 not long ago. Here’s one of them. The quality and the fact the whole things sideways is my favourite subscribe to me for a whole host of poor quality recordings from a range of early 2000’s pop punk bands shows xox

I think SP & BFS split the 2004 dates - pretty sure BFS did more of the mainland Europe dates and simple plan a few of those & all the UK dates. It’s hard to imagine BFS supporting Avril, I’d love to see a recording of it lol

I'm not that familiar with Bowling For Soup apart from one song, but would I be right in saying they are "pop punk" band similar to Simple Plan? If that as the case then I totally get why they opened for Avril given that was her image at the time, and most of her fans probably liked that kind of music.

Yeah they are. The music fits, but their on stage chat I can’t imagine is quite appropriate for the 11 year old girls who attended her concerts back then haha. Maybe they didn’t speak, just sang

Maybe they didn’t speak, just sang I remember at the time people on Bandaids being quite surprised when it was announced about them opening for Avril. I wondered at the time what the big deal was. Now I know why!

My first concert was the Taylor Swift - reputation Stadium Tour in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, on August 11, 2018 (Night Two of Atlanta)! Amazing concert was a literally dream! The best night of my life! Unfortunately, I have never been able to see Avril live! I hope next tour I can!
