Goodbye Lullaby Turns 10!2011 was a big year for Avril Lavigne and her fans as it marked the release of her hit song "What the Hell," later followed by the release of her 4th studio album Goodbye Lullaby! The piano-driven, singer/songwriter album was first released in Japan on March 2nd, 2011 and would soon follow in other countries that same week, officially being released in the US on March 8th. Goodbye Lullaby showcased a whole new side to the pop/punk princess, with introspective, acoustic tracks like "Everybody Hurts," "Push," and "Remember When." The album also included the Max Martin pop singles "What the Hell," "Smile," and "Wish You Were Here," plus the grungy piano-rock track "Alice" that Avril had written for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. Avril even challenged herself by writing half the songs on her own and producing for the first time, such as "4 Real," "Darlin," and the vulnerable tearjerker "Goodbye." To celebrate her 4th record, Avril treated fans to a YouTube mini series called WTH.TV and brought the album to life on the Black Star Tour all around the world.
