Yeah lol I feel old haha but good to see some other people around my age still like her! I had a tape of Let Go when I was 16, still have it for nostalgic reasons, Got UMS at a local store after seeing the video for Don't Tell Me on MTV and played it in the house aaaall the time. Think my dad and stepmom got fed up with it lol. Also had a few posters and all, one came with my copy of UMS. Was obsessed with TBDT but could listen to it with earphones on my phone by then a lot of the time. First listen was in my dad's car with my brother though. He predicted Girlfriend would be huge when we found it on the internet actually lol. I discovered Bandaids during that era as well. Aaaah fun times.

LG: 10 UMS: 12 TBDT: 15 GL: 19 AL: 21 HAW: 27 AL7: 29 assuming it comes out before January! My optimism back in May re the AL7 release date hahahhaha. Should’ve known. I’ll be now 30 when it drops (30th birthday on the 12th Jan!). Despite her not always releasing music I really enjoy, and a whole host of frustrating years and questionable career decisions, the fact I was 10 when LG came out and I’m still here 20 years later really does show there’s just something about her I can’t help but hang around for. |

I’ve been there for every release except Let Go - became a fan at the end of 2002. Under My Skin was probably the most memorable for me. It was the first album I bought for myself with my allowance (Let Go was a Christmas gift) and my mom and I went to Target to pick it up right after school. I was so excited! I also remember TBDT really well because there was a huge snowstorm the day before, despite being mid-April. I remember thinking, “This is…not how I imagined release day would be.” Lol.
