I just wanted to tell you guys that my Canadian citizenship certificate came in the mail yesterday my mom was born there and so I was able to become a citizen when I was a child. I currently live on the west coast in the US and I'm going to go to school in Canada!

Since Photobucket doesn't exist anymore (I suppose) what is another way of updating my profilepic and signature? I always had the one where I met her during a meet and greet from The Best Damn tour in 2008.

I can't get over it haha Modern art dealers and art collectors are not some 19th century uptight snobs, but quite versatile and adaptable bitches. Whoever bought that banksy's artwork has now a very widely known piece with a unique history caught on camera, which will guarantee a rapid and high monetary appreciation, while the auction dealership also gained some free advertisement on a global scale. There's virtually only benefit done to all involved parties, its sort of like how companies managed to turn Che Guevara image into profit.

But it just seems odd how did he manage to do that.

If it was, it must've been a real damn good one.

Right because it seems so unreal that it could happen so simply.

While there is some truth in the speech, he's also pulling some pretty false claims. The economy, the job market, the standard of living has taken a beating since the 2008 economic downturn - there's plenty of statistics proving that the late Gen-X and Millennials did take the brunt of the meltdown. Secondly, he is describing the pre-internet/mobile era as some sort of "healthy lifestyle, healthy outlook, healthy social life" utopia, when the statistics show that it was far from sunshine and rainbows. Suicide statistics show that suicide rates in the West used to be higher in the early 80's than now, for example, same goes for alcohol consumption, which had a somewhat similar chart path as suicide rate. Murder rate is also a good indicator of how healthy a society is, and guess what? Yep, charts show the exact same bulge in the 70s-80s period as the previous ones. Rape, domestic violence, non-fatal assaults were also higher in history than they are now. Consequentially, it is not so much that the younger generations are spoiled, but that we got hit by a multi-year reduction and/or stagnation of standard of living, and at the same time entered a world where it is much easier to bring issues to the forefront, hence sometimes inflating relatively minor issues into national debates. I see discontent better than apathy/peace with the situation, because discontent breeds dialogue, and dialogue brings changes and solutions.
