You can tell TBDT logo is the best because the message can be realized so easily and people have already left a very memorable impression from it. It's about love but in a guilty way

In my opinion, it does. It shows how much thought went into the process of recording, packaging, and marketing the record. I think the fact "Avril Lavigne" didn't even have a logo, original colors, yet alone a cohesive body of work says a lot. I'm not hating on that record. It's just how I feel about the lack of thought that went into putting it together.

I'm not sure if logos are particularly important at all, there are loads of albums that have sold really well but don't have a specific logo.
Although I do get that they are quite significant for Avril since the logo for TBDT in particular was and still is quite prominent in her career, and is thus instantly recognisable. I don't think that they are a necessity, though.

was never aware of Avril's album logos before TBDT happened, and I found TBDT logo quite annoying in the past.

It's a bonus. It's cool if there is one, and cool if there ain't one.

Gotta agree with ezzzz and In Wonderland. I think it's cool that Avril had them for most of her albums but I don't think it is necessary or affects it if it doesn't have one. A lot of artists don't use logos, so to me it's not a big deal if there isn't one. But the thing that I liked about all of Avril's logos is that they came organically, she wasn't just trying to come up with one and force it. Considering the lack of inspiration behind AL in general, it's not surprising there wasn't one. I only want Avril to do logos if they come organically to her.

You can tell TBDT logo is the best because the message can be realized so easily and people have already left a very memorable impression from it. Let me disagree with that statement As some people said, a logo is just a plus to accompany the album/music itself. First three albums have distinctive logos which were the "icing on the cake". On the other hand, last two albums don't have real logos , and it was a proof that both albums/eras weren't really "smooth" (especially AL). I don't think she really needs a logo, but at least in the past it looked like a "trademark" of hers. We'll see what happens with next album...

I'd rather have a collection of good music than themed artwork and logos. Sure, it's nice to look at but really not that important to me.

To some extent yes it does if you know how. It can be a good marketing strategy to sell more albums. Of course the material on the album matters as well.

Not nearly as much as literally anything else which has to do with the album.

I think not many Albums have real Logos. Out of Avril's 4 I love GL and UMS the most

The only album cover of Avril's I really don't like at all is AL.
LG, while not the best, kind of fits well with the sound and image she had at the time. It was definitely unique in comparison to other covers like Britney by Britney Spears and Stripped by Christina Aguilera. 3/5
UMS, while not a favorite of mine, does fit pretty well with the darker theme of the album. The black and white photo makes it stand out. 2/5
I've always loved TBDT album cover, it's very colorful and her expression on the photo kind of expresses the brattiness/attitude of the album. I love that it was just taken spontaneously while she and Deryck were out driving in LA and it was not a planned photo. 4/5
GL is one of my favorite covers from her. It is just gorgeous and really fits well with the stripped down sound of GL, and I love that she is posing on top of a piano since piano was such a prominent instrument on that album and she has never posed with an instrument on an album cover before. 5/5
AL is really the only cover I just don't like. They should have toned down her eye makeup or something because she just looks really scary on the cover. I think they should have maybe used a different photo from the same shoot that wasn't so intense, like the photo that appears on the back cover. Not to mention that it is so obvious that photo was taken long before Epic made her go back and add all those pop songs since the cover only really matches with the dark tripod songs. 1/5

Some even say that they didn't purchase the 5th album because they could not stand the album cover.
Did I mention I changed all the track's covers (digital version) by using MP3 Tag?
Listening to upbeat tracks while looking at that cover.... was unbearable.
