I know that my question is stupid, but am I still allowed to vote if I did not listen to all of Avril's songs? I don't know if I've heard all of them. There are many I can't remember at all. I tend to rate them kind of low if I never bothered to listen a second time. I do the best I can. That's about all we can expect from anyone. I tend to doubt that many fans can actually remember all of her music. The simple answer is, we don't have a rule about that. If we did, we would have no way to enforce it. My opinion, the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.  |

Finally voted just now! I spent the last two/three weeks listening to all of Avril's songs and watching all her music videos for the first time in about two years, I think, in preparation for this rating. This time round, I was really surprised by how much of a different listener I've become during the last two-ish years. I now pay much more attention to detail in the instrumentation than I ever did before, and care less about vocals and even less about lyrics. This resulted in me not enjoying songs that I used to love as much as I had expected, but I also found myself loving songs I used to consider only alright. The overall experience was incredible fun and it reminded me of why I fell in love with Avril in the first place, and all the ups and downs we've had regarding her music over the course of her career. I'm really curious to see what the results will be like, obviously especially because we finally got a bunch of new songs. I'm so happy the staff decided to wait with this rating till after LS's release.  Btw, I assume "Let's Get Weird" and "Half Full" sadly had to be left out of the rating due to them being hard/impossible to find on YouTube, Soundcloud, etc. But I've always wondered why "Basket Case" and "Fuel" are never included in these ratings? "Adia" is included, after all, but that's a live recording as well. Similarly with the official lyric videos for HTNGU and "Rock N Roll" - why are they not included, but the one for "Dumb Blonde (ft. Nicki Minaj)" is? This is not a complaint, I'm just wondering. But I do think you guys forgot about the "Bite Me (Acoustic)" music video, lol.  |

Great post TamyXD You are right about 'Let's Get Weird' and 'Half Full'. When I got involved with this poll, I basically tried to continue with what previous staff had started. Since 'Basket Case' and 'Fuel' had been left of in the past, the current staff didn't really consider adding them. I suppose it's something we can discuss for the next poll. Remind me in about ten months. The same pretty much applies to the lyric videos for HTNGU and 'Rock n Roll'. I would have made the case for their inclusion, but I wasn't on the staff then. I didn't see a reason to leave DB off the poll, so I added it. We don't have any hard and fast rules about what to include in the poll. I'm willing to discuss possible changes. But I do think you guys forgot about the "Bite Me (Acoustic)" music video, lol. This is 100% my fault.  We discussed it and decided it should be in the poll. I meant to add it when I added the 'Flames' (acoustic) and 'Grow' videos. It simply slipped my mind. |

I’m not sure HTNGU and RNR videos really warrant inclusion since they have official videos, whereas DB does not. I also think objectively the quality of DB is way better than the others. Most fans probably forgot they exist, that’s how bad they are. They aren’t anything particularly special whereas DB seems like some effort was put in. That’s just my opinion though and why I think they were never included.

I finally did it! And man am I terrible at rating things I really like  But I tried my best to not just give 8-10s I even only gave 10s to my ABSOLUTE favourites so there aren't that many. |

The poll is closed and the tabulation will begin asap. I'm dealing with a personal situation that is consuming most of my time and all of my mental energy. This could delay the tabulation and posting of the results. I got stuck dealing with my neighbor's health problems. I might explain in the "How are you feeling" thread. The problem should solve itself in the very near future, so please bear with me.
