I love the original and this new production is fire, I just wish the battle part had avril's vocals less muffled. This is such an important song for goldfinger, Avril probably wanted to be in it, because the album also had another 4 new tracks. If I'm not wrong its still their biggest hit til this day I have no idea about general Charts, radioplay and stuff cause I never followed, but according to Spotify Here in Your Bedroom is their 3rd most streamed song with 18 M streams, 99 red balloons has 80 M streams while at first place there is "Superman" with more than 100 M It didn't translated well to streaming But its their biggest hit chart-wise Superman is featured in tons of video-games so that must help |

My first impression after listening to the full song: It's fine, but that's kinda it. As I'd expected, it sounds kinda samey to me, and I also feel both Feldy's and Avril's vocals have been pitch corrected / autotuned a bit too much. I'm also not so sure about the overall style of the song. As I said before, I really like the fact we got a different chord progression than what most of Avril's songs use. But, idk... the song still has this rushed, skater pop-punk sound to it that just sounds a little goofy to me. It's just not really my cup of tea.
I guess I'll listen to the song a few more times; maybe it'll grow on me some more. But as of right now, I don't expect I'll come back to it very often.

Just listened to the song and I feel like I’m the only one who loves it haha. I think her voice sounds great on this, her voice goes great with the melody of the song and you can tell she had fun on the song. The laugh at the end is so cute too!

This song has barely any lyrics lol. Her voice doesn't really sound like early Avril but something about the way she sings it screams 2000's which i love. The last chorus was pitched way too high though. I never agreed with the TBDT Avril sounds like Alvin and the chipmunks statements but that last chorus does...

Loved the song, first time hearing him! Love Avril going in this direction. Can't complain and glad it isn't basic and she's stepping out her comfort zone!

So I just got to listen to the song and I'm a bit torn.
For the most part I think it's a fun song but every now and then they fiddled around with the voices too much imo which kinda throws me off, but that was just after the first listen.
It was also the my first time hearing this song never really cared about Goldfinger so that was a fun experience!
All in all I'd say that for me the song is ok, fun song, nothing too special and the voices have been changed too much at certain bits.
Let's see if my opinion changes after some more listening later down the road and maybe when it's not 8am and I'm in the office 😂

Good. I think Avril should explore her sound more by emerging other way of doing music. I found her voice is quite uitable to that jumpy, bouncy rythem from funck and ska punk after 'Smile' and this song. Lookimg forward of that in the futute

The song is okay, she did a good job but I don’t know if I’m going back to it often. It’s nice that she does a lot of side projects these days but I am curious about her own new material.

Never heard the song before, but I love Avril's part - how she uses her voice kinda differently from Love Sux. I only wish Avril would sing more parts than she did 'cause she killed it, but I get it's Goldfinger's song

Agreed. As much as I love pop-punk, this song just isn’t it. Sounds too outdated, like late 90s/early 00s pop-punk (makes sense given the OG track is form a 1996 album). Super cool she’s featuring on it tho, and love how close she is to her producer. Hope this collaboration between them lasts!
