I'm super late to this thread but is anyone else not crazy about I'm a mess? I find it very bland. I don't ever listen to it. I find it bland too, I think I have only listened to it once when it came out π I think it's because I'm a mess is repeated too much. |

The only thing about the song I still find killer is the bridge. If I feel like listening to that part Iβll play the song, otherwise I skip it. Itβs not bad, just not a standout.

I still play it. It's the bridge that does it for me. But I would like more mid temp songs that are different than this one.

Hm, I didnt listen to avril songs in the last couple of weeks, but when the song came on when I played Love Sux Deluxe i always enjoyed it. I think its nice, I like the sound and that Avril sings in a lower pitch partwise. It reminds me a lot of UMS, thats what I wanna hear, hehe. I think its one of my favourite Love Sux songs along with others. I have to sing along to it, i totally get the vibe although its true that its kind of average, which is totally fine. Or maybe its what makes it such a "Safe space'.

I love I'm A Mess. Good when I'm missing someone and "all the shops in london are closed and I don't know where to go from here" reminds me of the times i spent in london.

Anything she has done this era is such a hit tbh! Such a good time to be a fan (besides Homer Simpson, of course.) i really enjoyed this era. Last time i enjoyed an Avril era this much was in 2007. Yay! Also, i love IAM. This isn't my fave song of hers, but i enjoy listening to it pretty often. The guitars at the beginning, i love it. I also noticed how Yungblud & Avril's voices blend SO WELL together! Especially live, it's impressive. They should do more songs together. By far my favorite duet our MFP has done. It's like their voices are meant to go together. Have you guys listened to Dom & Avril's duet of I'm With You during the pandemic ?! It's so WOW. I think this is my favorite rendition of IMY, too. I'm living for these two do to more songs/art together, literally. Avril made me become a fan of Yungblud, and those two together feels like home now. WOW. π€π₯Ή |

But I love the energy, she sings amazing and they seem to really enjoy themselves. He also does have a great voice.
