What year was it too?
I bought Let Go first in 2009 and re-bought it in 2015. TBDT followed a half month later and UMS a half month later too (both in 2009) I bought GL 2 weeks after it's release and AL in March 2014.

My dad bought LG for me sometime in 2002, probably around November maybe.
I didn't get around to buying UMS until I think 2007. Then I bought TBDT maybe late summer 2008.
I bought GL and AL both on the days they came out.

UMS was the first album of hers that I bought, though I'd technically been a fan since the LG days. It was shortly after the album was released in 2004.
If I'm honest, this is maybe why I hold UMS in such high regard, even though it's at least matched by LG and TBDT when I really think about her music objectively. Nostalgia is a powerful thing.

My parents got Let Go for my older sister when it released, and I was lucky enough to get to listen from her CD player growing up XD
Also @harvey , that's why I've given up the whole "omg _____ is so much better than UMS." Everyone has their reasons for liking one record better than others and it totally doesn't change my thoughts/opinions on which one I prefer. I know a lot of people here, myself included have sort of been like "you like UMS best??? -flips hair and leaves-" but I've learned LOL. In fact, UMS era holds a lot of great memories for myself as well.

LG was the first album I bought and it was on iTunes in 2011. I then bought LG, UMS, and TBDT physical CDs at the same time shortly after. I bought GL and AL as CDs on release day.

My dad bought me Let Go right after the Sk8er Boi music video was released. Then I got UMS for a Christmas present the same year it came out, and the same with TBDT. I pre ordered GL and I still don't have a physical copy of AL. I bought the digital version about a year after it was released because I wasn't a big fan of it but it eventually grew on me.

I bought TBDT in April 2007 right after I saw her on TV for the first time. I liked it so much, I bought LG and UMS later that week. I bought GL the day it came out. I listened to it twice and gave it away the same day. I bought AL the day it came out. I didn't listen to it for over a year. After I did, I felt silly. I like it a lot.

I bought Let Go in the Summer of 2003, I had a copy of Under My Skin in 2005 but didn't actually get my own until I bought The Best Damn Thing in the summer of 2007, I got Goodbye Lullaby the day it was released as a late birthday present, and I bought a digital copy of AL the day it was released and bought a physical copy about two weeks after its release. (I really got the AL physical copy as a gift because I used a gift card my grandparents gave me as a graduation present)

Let Go I got shortly after it came out, probably the fall or winter of 2002. UMS I got the week it came out, the rest I got the day of.

Let Go in 2003,
then UMS the day after it came out (I remember it came out on a tuesday of april.I think it was 25th of april. and that's the only thing I was thinking about the whole day, I only could go to the store the day after and it was just torture to have to wait so long !
then TBDT the day it came out. I bought GL sometimes around the time it came out.Not too sure when.
haven't bought AL
