So since its been slow and we just wrapped the ove Sux tour, i thought it would be fun to talk about our Favorite and Least Favorite Avril tours. So vote for your favorite and if you have gone to any shows in any of these tours talk about your experience and why you thought that was the best tour. REven if you didnt go to a show, base it off what youve seen on youtube and stuff

TBDT is easily her best tour IMO, followed by Bonez. The setlist was a perfect combo of old and new songs, upbeat and ballads. There was something for everyone, whether you liked her rocking out moments, the dance routines, the acoustic portion, there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was a real show, not just a concert. She stepped it up with the production, staging, lighting, costumes, everything. She had the perfect balance of playing instruments, some songs with dancing, other songs just rocking out. It showed a little of everything she could do.
Bonez is second because she played a lot of instruments on most songs and it has some of her best vocal performances.
TTSMU is ok but she obviously only had 1 album of songs to play and vocally I think it’s probably her weakest tour as she wasn’t super experienced yet. I love the nostalgia of this tour though and young Avril just rocking out is classic.
BST is where the all singles setlist started happening and she had this weird accent all the time while singing. The staging was boring.
AL she was sick for most of it. I did get a chance to see her on this tour and she happened to perform well for my show at least. But this is probably her worst tour by default because of how ill she was.
HAW was a good comeback tour but this is where the short setlist started happening. I saw her on this tour as well and it was a great show but definitely short and she could have played more album tracks.
LS was pretty good overall but the all singles set is getting old and boring. At least she brought the energy more for this tour and I liked the costumes.

Just judging it on the ones I’ve been to:
1. Bonez - I know it was relatively stripped back compared to TBDT but honestly I think it had her best performances. She did well vocally, setlist was good and I had a blast. 2. TBDTour - not far off the Bonez Tour. Great vocally, good setlist and good, if a little different in some cases, performances 3. LST - I had a good enough time but it’s nowhere near the other two. She sounded great in some songs and barely sang others. Good energy in some songs and zero energy for others. Setlist not great, too short and spent way too much time off stage 4. BST - I just didn’t rate this tour at all which I know is a fairly unpopular opinion lol. I didn’t like the GL era as a whole and don’t like the album much either so it just wasn’t for me. Bad setlist, weird accent as mentioned above and just generally a bit bland
TTSMU tour seemed ok but vocally poor. AL tour I don’t really have any opinions on because I haven’t seen enough of it.
Edit just realised I missed the HAW tour lol. But same as AL, haven’t seen enough of it to judge really

For me, probably TBDT, and then the Bonez Tour because that's when I got to first see her live.

Nobody's home chorus rhymes "home" with "home". Wonder why rap is a bad idea for Avril?

I've been to a couple of them.
TBDT had all the good bits of the previous 2 albums and decent room for the messy fun with high-tempo songs that disappeared during the following tours. my vote goes to it. Also, choreographies. lol.

The best tour in terms of setlist, mood, vibes, feelings... for me it was the Bonez Tour. So happy I managed to go.
The best tour in terms of choreoghraphy, effort, visuals, a tour were money were clearly spent to make a good show, was the best damn tour no doubt.

I have seen her on 3 tours:
I didnt really like the choreography and dancing and costume change during TBDT. Too staged, too robotic, too structured. Her voice was good though.
I liked the Bonez Tour cause it felt authentic, had a rock vibe, many instruments (I saw Together on piano!). Good long setlist, great opener. Her voice was good, not perfect tunes but rawness.
I liked the Love Sux Tour. Setlist was ooookaaay but too short. Her voice in Hamburg was great, her energy was good, it had a lot of choreography but it seemed more authentic. Bit too much focus on looking good in pictures but overall a good concert and I LOVED the looks!

The Avril Lavigne tour because that's the tour I got my picture with her. ♡ Then after that her first tour ttsmu tour is her best followed by the bonez tour.

I voted Love Sux Tour.
I've attended The Best Damn Tour, The Black Star Tour and Love Sux Tour. There wasn't an AL-Tour in my country and HAW-Tour became LS-Tour due COVID. I was too young to attend her first 2 tours.
But since I saw her 3 times during Love Sux tour, and got to meet her again after all those years makes it very special. Also her outfits and the stage, the balloons, it was SO much fun! I really loved it. I must say even tho I didn't attend the Bonez Tour, that one looked amazing too (we got that Live at Budokan concert at dvd from that tour).

I ended up choosing The Bonez Tour, but I could as well have gone with the Try To Shut Me Up Tour or The Black Star Tour; I love all three of them. The Bonez Tour: Positives: great vocals, good setlists, she did a decent enough job playing various instruments, she seemed passionate Negtaives: none Try To Shut Me Up Tour: Positives: good vocals, good setlists, she played the guitar well enough, she had fun, great band-vibe Negatives: none The Black Star Tour: Positives: mainly that I got to see her live . Her vocals were also amazing. Things that were fine, but could have been better: setlist (too few new songs, too many singles), her guitar playing seemed a bit half-assed and her piano skills worse than previously, but it was still okay imo. Negatives: she seemed bored sometimes, she started using that weird accent halfway through the tour The Best Damn Tour: Positives: great vocals, good setlists, she did well playing various instruments, she seemed to have fun Negatives: objectively nothing, but personally, I just never liked that dancing, it all seemed too rehearsed, and I also don't like the pink-and-glitter aesthetics. The remaining three tours are all a huge drop in quality imo. Her performances became really inconsistent when it comes to her vocals and her passion. The setlists became pretty bad. Her skills at playing instruments got seemingly worse. I don't think any of the last three tours was particularly bad, though, it just became a 50/50 chance whether you'd get a fine show or a bad show, and that just doesn't make for a good tour overall.

HAW Tour was a dream come true. My venue was a dream and it fit her show. The video packages for HAW and IFILWTD were long but beautiful. Her performance was good–tbh it's such a blur because it was my first time seeing her. I was just happy to be in her presence–among hundreds of other people but let's ignore that. I didn't even notice the setlist until I was on the way home. However, it was clear this tour was just to tour. She didn't really have a vision and she relied so much on the video packages.
But the best tour? Based on YouTube.
It's literally in the name. The Best Damn Tour. You could tell she put effort into making this show. It has everything: stage design, different outfits, acoustic set, piano session, choreography although the dancers were a bit much, and the setlist worked around her latest album.
Bonez Tour was Avril in her element. I really like how she switched between playing instruments very naturally and she dressed normally. The stage design was generic but the stacked amps gave it the feel of a rock show. Bonus: best live performance of NH.

I have never seen Avril live unfortunately. All my opinion is based on YT. I chose TBDT tour.
TTSMU tour: it feels like a band, all the songs from the album are performed live.
Bonez tour: It still has a band vibe, I like the balance of new and old songs.
TBDT tour: the most professional show, it's not vibe band anymore, it feels like a big star, choreography, acoustic set - everything is great.
BS tour: I like the set list, the covers, but why did she sing so strangely she was drunk most of the time?
AL, HAW, LS: Greatest hits tours + some new songs, they are all equal for me.

I'd say Bones tour just based on performance -her voice was amazing, good mix of old and new songs, she seemed more comfortable performing but it was still very much "about the music" (whereas TBDT was a production -very neat and fun but I prefer concerts that don't have background dancers and choreography). However, HAW tour has such a special place in my heart because I was in the 3rd row and obviously that tour was a huge milestone for her after Lyme. But I was also at the last night of the AL tour, which felt special (even more so in hindsight knowing she was already sick and was about to be forced into a 5 year hiatus) and she performed my [at the time] favorite song (Hush Hush).
