I wont lie but this was my expectation.. my brother (not fan of hers but like her music and was really excited for GH tour) live 1600km far from UK and just told me after seen setlist that he cancelling his holiday at work and not going that far on the same show like he was last year. Im still going so I hope at least she wont get sick or will have “mood” that day

I’m not at all surprised by the setlist but why does she just constantly talk absolute rubbish? Why talk about playing Green Day covers (not that we wanted her to lol) if she’s not going to do it? Why say she’s going to play Breakaway if she’s not? She needs to learn to shut up unless she’s ACTUALLY going to do things because it’s so fucking annoying for fans.
I hope this isn’t another tour where the amount of songs each night gets varies. Switch songs sure but don’t keep adding and cutting from the setlist like she did with the LS tour, we’ve all paid for the same length show.

I find it interesting how she references Green Day a lot and has said how amazing their shows are etc. when they’re currently playing approx 32 songs per show (full Dookie and American Idiot albums) and she still sticks to the same 15 song set.
This could easily be 18-20 songs and thats what I’d expect on a greatest hits tour. Thankfully I’m well used to Avril and her short sets so I’m not surprised.
On the plus side - this is a belter of a setlist for the festivals she’s doing. The masses want the songs they know and she’s giving it to them.

Tbh it's quite disappointing for me. The production looks a bit better than previous tour. But it feels like the same show years after years. The tour is supposed to celebrate her career but it doesn't seem to be any much different from the other tours since BST. Is it that difficult to make it an 18-20 song setlist? Not to mention she only played guitar for same old songs that she used to play before, no piano for WYG. Her energy is ok-ish but seems like she was grappling to complete the show not really owning it. Her vocals sounds a bit rough in general (but there were some moments she nailed it). The outfit is fine but not that great compared to Love Sux era.
The bottom line: more songs + more instrument playing, new MUSICAL ideas (i.e., new live rendition of certain songs, new note changes, not the props/decoration - she got famous for her music first and foremost) to keep the show fresh and exciting.
I think Avril has so many chances over the past few years and in this Greatest Hits era to prove that she can still sing, play instruments, nail NEW songs not just old hits, and grow as a performer and an artist. It's frustrating to see how her performances seem to be the same and show little improvements (sometimes even go downhill). It's hard to see what long-term and new vision she has as an artist at this point.
Yes, she can tour with the same old songs for the rest of her life and still make money. And it doesnt hurt for her to lose 1-2 fans who get fed up with the lack of changes and improvements. But does she really think she doesnt have any new things to try and prove herself as an artist? Would she allow herself to stay in this comfort zone for the rest of her career? How long can these greatest hits can really carry her career now that she is more than 20 years into her career?
Given her Lyme disease and who knows what may be going on in her personal life that we dont know about and may affect her performance, and the fact that this is the first day of the tour, I hope she will be able to find a way to improve on the quality of the shows movong forward.
I'm saying all of this not to bash her but to voice what I have observed as a fan. I believe more fans have shown their disappointment over the length of the shows and the lack of new songs/interesting musical ideas for her tour as well. Hope that she and her team know and will do something about it. Still a fan and would love to see her grow and succeed.

Setlist Vancouver (05/22) 1. Girlfriend 2. What The Hell 3. Complicated 4. Smile 5. Here's To Never Growin Up 6. My Happy Ending 7. He Wasn't 8. Don't Tell Me 9. When You're Gone 10. Fake As Hell w/ All Time Low 11. Bite Me 12. Love It When You Hate Me 13. Sk8er Boi 14. Head Above Water 15. I'm with you Man…. Production looks amazing, and I would have gone to at least 3 shows this tour if she had Nobody’s Home and Keep Holding On….but I saw that set list several times last tour…and it was amazing….but was really hoping for more. This is really amazing for casual listeners though…which is 95% of the audience I’m sure.

The setlist is terribly short and basic and predictable but we already knew that.
She won’t have any input in sweating more until we will still buy her tickets every single time. When she won’t sell, she’ll find a way to convince people to get in the venue and see her show. Sad to say it, but this is how it is.

Even for a GH tour the setlist is honestly disappointing. It doesn’t seem at all different from the LS tour except for throwing in some UMS singles and FAH. I wonder what she’ll replace it with once ATL is gone.
I guess I’m glad she decided to ditch the idea of a Green Day cover and Breakaway but yeah 15 songs is ridiculously short. For a tour that should be a celebration of her career, they could have added a few others like NH, Hot, WYWH, KHO? It really is just the greatest hits and nothing else lol
It seems like their priority this tour was stepping up the visuals and everything else was secondary. The intro is cool, that’s kind of about it. Sorry I hate the costumes, I think they’re ugly. It’s like for all the lighting/visual effects and costumes they just decided to take every element of “Avril Lavigne” (pink, black, red, TBDT skull, UMS X, orange guitar, skulls, rock and roll symbols) and throw it all together. It looks like a mess.
During FAH they brought up 2 fans onstage and the whole thing looked awkward. The poor girls looked like they had no idea what to do and didn’t know the words to sing the song. They gave them both a skateboard, and snapped a photo quickly onstage, then one of the girls said she was escorted offstage and watched the remainder of the show from the side stage and couldn’t go back to her seat and get her things until after the show. It’s a nice gesture for the fans but seems awkward and disorganized.
Not even her energy or vocals seemed good from what I saw, sadly. She seemed relatively low energy and stood around at the mic stand for a lot of it and seemed to struggle vocally at some parts. She had her moments here and there, but yeah that annoying accent from 2011 seems to be back.
I hope this is just a rough start and improvements will be made along the way. I don’t expect the setlist to really change but hoping she at least picks it up with the energy and vocal delivery. Yeah disappointing she’s not playing instruments except on the 3 UMS songs like always.
Sigh. I was really hoping for better than this. I knew all the songs were going to be singles but it doesn’t even seem like they changed up the order from last tour. It’s the same tour with new visuals/production and a couple new (ugly and tacky) costumes. A celebration of her career deserves better than this.

This was a real chance to put together a proper show and they’ve really missed the mark. Whys she singing Complicated dressed in a TBDT era style outfit (the bottom half of which looks straight out of Sabrina Carpenters wardrobe)? Complicated is by far her most iconic look so why isn’t she wearing an updated version of that? Why hasn’t it been done by era so she can have visuals and outfits based on each album?
It’s just so half arsed (as always). Shes all talk then things never materialise. And yeah, from the videos I’ve seen the energy isn’t there and she’s doing a weird accent again - why?!?

By the way, it's pratically the same setlist that she performed at the same arena in 2022 (except for 2 or 3 songs).

Agree, it would have been so much better if done by era but then I guess some eras would have gotten the Speak Now treatment with only 1 song lol The only album that seems to get an “era” is UMS with its own costume, a sort of recreation of the jacket from the album cover I guess. It looks like a baseball jersey, it’s just weird and not her brand at all? This mini UMS era during the show and the new outfit is probably the only celebration we’ll get for UMS 20 lol

I don’t like the outfit with skirt cause it always makes her look bigger but the next one with oversized t-shirt is nice and suits her (like eyes wide shut performance) and they could find a better custom stylist cause the idea is nice but the representation looks messy. She could just wear 3 eras looks for example and change them. And this leather thing under her crop top t-shirt… some of LS outfits were better but I just don’t like this cheap custom. And the band costumes are also ☠️ Visuals are good, but she still looks nervous and anxious on stage and as always smth wrong with the instruments she always shows to the band to fix smth idk put the volume up and etc. like I don’t feel she is relaxed it all looks like she HAD to celebrate hahah and maybe physically it’s still hard for her to perform and breath👀 idk she really could prepare better and train more.
