Music video filming locations

Here the director talks about moving onto the concept, on a "sort of New York backlot." Using sound stages/backlots are pretty commonly used for replicating cities. New York city is a popular one. I feel like I read somewhere it was shot at Warner Brothers studios which would make sense that they'd have an empty white room set and a New York City backlot. Could be wrong, but for some reason Warner Bros popped into my head for some reason. I also remember that someone posted a rumor or possible scrapped video where a bunch of people were filmed smiling in a white room similar to the music video that was released. That might have been the original concept/video, but decided to go for something different.

Thanks, ya someday I'll make a list of all the locations.  The skatepark is in Griffiths Park.  Take Canyon Drive north from Hollywood as far as you can go.  There is a small parking lot at the end of the road.  From here, the road turns into Brush Canyon trail.  A short walk up the trail is a floodwater drainage structure where the skatepark scenes were filmed.

I once analysed the WTH and the HK videoclip for all the locations when i was REALLY bored...   Using advertisements, landmarks and street signs i was able to find about every location in the video (except some of the indoor shots)
