First, she'll have to break this record. Taylor Swift's current style since 2014 is considered "teen pop", but Adele is considered "authentic" (btw this word is widely used by those who want to differentiate themselves from those who consume the large part of pop culture which they consider "shallow") - therefore Adele has a lot more consumers around the globe. I believe 2016 is Adele's era - no chance for Taylor.

This post is for apreciation of adele and i like Adele. I heard Adele since Chasing Pavements and i liked. I'm not commenting against anyone. But is no need of downgrading other artists (like Taylor) to be fan of Adele. Only could peak higher with permission of the medias that make her brand more buyable. Because all the people buy the same to feel like they are buying something that not all the people buy. Nice paradox, authenticity or the risk of working with a multinational. The sucess of 25 is mostly with the media help in my opinion. I think all the people and artist can live in the same world. Competence is company matters and i'm disagree with some kinds of ferocious competence. The companies and the media craft periods of time an eras that most of the time are artificial. And in different movements or ambients, different eras depending the genre, the band or the singer. Outside Avril Lavigne Fans, Avril Eras don't exist. And for this reason probably 2016 could be the year of Adele (for people who Know about the existence of Adele) or any other artist era for other movement or ambient like "# rock era" or "# metal era". And about records. I don't want to make a fact fight. Records are less important than emotions and feelings. Is a post of apreciation of Adele. But i will post only one more record because i think is funny and i liked the record not because of this and not because is the best record. And i will stop talking about records and closing the record comparison game. "Swift became the first artist since The Beatles 43 years earlier to log six weeks atop Billboard 200 with three consecutive studio albums." The best since the Beatles is a sentence that makes me laughs. XD I think is hilarious. So, good night (in spain is 02:17 of night). My best wishes to Adele. My advise to her is: "Take care with overexposure.". |

Very beautiful song. And despite not being a fan, I'm somewhat excited for the release of her new album 25! I wonder what it's going to be like, what it's going to sound like, after 4 years since 21 and if it will have as much success as 21. The song makes me even more curious about the sound of the record.

I'm not a fan of hers, her music just doesn't get to me. But I want to point out that she is the living proof that music style has little-to-no importance in terms of success and sales. Her music is not electropop or generic pop; yet, she manages to be one of the most successful artists of our time. The artist's name is the key to success. It makes me think, that no matter what musical direction Avril takes, even if it's what's trendy on radio, she'll never sale as much as she once did, just because "Avril Lavigne" is no longer (or very little) relevant in the music industry.
What Adele does is pretty good, she doesn't need to put out material that is radio-friendly, she seems to have complete creative control over her music, and she is one of the most important names in music today.
