Anyone like Big Fish of Tim Burton? Based on the 1998 novel of the same name by Daniel Wallace. Albert Finney (old), Ewan McGregor, Jessica Lange, Alison Lohman, Dany DeVito, etc

What's Eating Gilbert Grape, The Craft, Scream, Girl Interrupted, Fly Away Home, Homeward Bound and Forest Gump are my absolute favourites. I also used to watch Pollyanna all the time, it has Hayley Mills in it and was released in 1960 but I wouldn't call it my favourite but probabaly the movie that was most intriguing to me.

Probably My Neighbor Totoro. It has a lot of great little observations about child siblings and creates conflict without having evil/adversarial characters.

Audrey Hepburn is my favourite actress of all time. I love all her movies, especially "Breakfast at Tiffany's", "Roman Holiday" and "Charade".

I have many favorites, but the most recent one that I enjoyed was The Imitation Game. It's with Benedict Cumberbatch.

'Almost Famous' It's not the best movie I've ever seen. It's just occurred to me that I've seen this movie more often than any other. If I stumble on it while channel surfing, I'm compelled to watch it again. The music in it, is the soundtrack of my early adult life. Very nostalgic. What's Eating Gilbert Grape, The Craft, Scream, Girl Interrupted, Fly Away Home, Homeward Bound and Forest Gump are my absolute favourites. Some of my all time favorites too. Did you know the cinematographer/director of cinematography, of 'Fly Away Home', is the father of Zooey & Emily Deschanel, Caleb Deschanel? Side note: Glad you didn't change your avatar when you changed your username. I wouldn't know who you are.

Audrey Hepburn is my favourite actress of all time. I love all her movies, especially "Breakfast at Tiffany's", "Roman Holiday" and "Charade". Mine too! It's elusive how she actually made very few movies and still most of them are classics. Her best film in my opinion is "Breakfast at Tiffany's". Leaving aside how iconic the film became because of her Givenchy dresses, she just plays a perfect Holly Goligthly- the fact someone can actually pronounce that name... is beyond me- once I read that the author of the original boo, Truman Capote, wanted Marilyn Monroe to play her and actually lobbied so he could get her, but Monroe was not available. And, to be honest, I fully understand him. Marilyn Monroe had everything that the character needed, specially that "party girl" thing about her, the Mid-West country girl goes sophisticated New York "it girl" story, and the whole personal tragedy behind it. She had lived it. And yet, Hepburn, who was European, classy rather than sexy, was probably as far from being a party girl as a Hollywood actress can possibly be and had a remarkably "boring" life compared not only to Marilyn Monroe's, but to the likes of her peers Elizabeth Taylor or Ava Gardner, was able to play her so perfectly that there isn't a single moment in the movie when you can tell she wasn't really like that. The part when she receives the telegram saying her brother is dead and she crashes her room during a breakdown is just acting gold and for some reason no one seems to notice.I highly doubt Monroe would have handled the humour swing so well. She made her character so lively and credible that by now everyone believes that Audrey Hepburn was like that lol. I also love her on Sabrina, and, specially, on My Fair Lady. On the latter one, apparently, when she learnt that they were going to edit her songs out the final cut and replace them with Mary Nixon's vocals, she stormed out the set- she had reportedly been working on her singing abilities for months. The next day, she came back and apologized to the director, the rest of actors and the whole crew about her behaviour and admitted she wasn't good enough to do the singing parts, no matter how hard she tried. Later, she rehearsed with Nixon so that the transitions were as smooth as possible. That shows that, despite having her faults and making mistakes as everyone else, she wasn't a diva-like most of her peers- and how highly she regarded professionalism and duty. There are-and were- few actors like that. Anyways My Fair Lady is to me one of those movies that never age. The story is timeless, the songs are still catchy and visually it's a wonder. The scene at the Ascott races is one of the few times that black and white worked in a technicolor movie

The scene at the Ascott races is one of the few times that black and white worked in a technicolor movie I agree with every single word you said! She represents the lost art of elegance; she is the epitome of the true elegance. Her iconic style, her innate grace, her indefatigable optimism but, above all, her profound magnanimity will live forever. For these reasons, and infinite others, she holds a special place in my heart and she will always be a source of inspiration for me.

I think James Dean was a pretty cool icon. I've only seen two of his three films but I loved him in them. As Andy Warhol said, "James Dean was the damaged but beautiful soul of our time." Just an amazing actor, an amazing human being. He was great in "East of Eden". So sad he died so young. Just raw natural talent.

Anyways, for some things I have read, he would have probably had an unhappy life. Hollywood toyed him heavily while he lived and probably would have done it for as long as they could.
