I am deeply saddened and apalled about what happened. I still can't completely comprehend it. The whole day I've been thinking about Paris and all those innocent people who were so brutally murdered; all those people who lost loved ones; all those who had to witness it all. And I still can't find the right words...

From the history, commoner has always been the first groups who suffered from political war and attacks. Well, the fact is that how some of the Europe countries that started the war in the middle east and has continued. When the innocence commoners are suffered in the France, wasn't the middle east ones too ? I of course feel sorry for the victims but they unfortunately got a selfish and stupid governments. What can I say ?

Don't think France's government had anything to do with it but please lets not get into that because 1) this thread will be closed and 2) many innocent people lost their lives in a horrific way for no reason. It may happen everywhere, but lets respect and remember them instead of focusing on their killers. They don't deserve thinking about.

I could explain what I mean, but to do that I'd have to violate the "no politics or religion" mandate.

Yes, please. Don't get into religion or politics in this topic. Or I'll close it faster than the wind.

Just delete this post if not) Sorry I phrased that too strongly in light of things. I meant right now, let's think about the victims. But I'm really loving the response around the world, and Facebook and Youtube adopting the French flag as well. My uni is holding a vigil tomorrow and I think I'll go to it.

They don't deserve thinking about.I strongly disagree, and I urge everyone to not ignore the elephant(s) in the room. I could explain what I mean, but to do that I'd have to violate the "no politics or religion" mandate. Same here. For course this is a sad tragedy and hurting may show sympathy, but I don't think it's wrong to try to see the bigger picture and discuss it respectfully. And actually this isn't a religious conflict at all and that's the biggest of all problemes. Not because it is not a religious conflict, but because the IS uses religious beliefs to create terror. Splitting a world into good and bad is the worst of all goals, because there's no good and bad. I don't know how well informed you are about the recent politics in Germany, but national socialism is growing again and now because of the things that happened in Paris billions of idiots complain about the refugees. Even politican claim, that things have been wrongly handled. And why is that? Well because one of the terrorist carried a fake I.D. that said he was a refugee but of course this was the goal. I just want to underline that fact, that it was a fake I.D.. No terrorist travels with their own I.D., never ever, unless they want to tell a story with it. This is actually the kniefe we should be so worried about, because there's nothing worse than a country or union that destroies itself. And I believe that this is one thing the IS is aiming at. I feel truely sorry for all people who died in this act of terror, but what's already happening is that France is sending warplanes to Irak and recruiting war. At the same time, politicans say (not only in Germany, but in Europe) that we are in war and we need to investigate refugees. Also the U.S. says they will close their borders after this. The consequences of all: people who try to get away from this terror are actually being kept right inside it and the IS is gaining power, cause after moan follows anger and this anger is the weapon the IS uses against our World. We should not let them win, cause in the bigger picture, they don't use weapons against us (we all know they have weapons that could destroy whole countries of our world), but our very own people. I don't want to start a violent discussion here, but I want to say that my sympathy remains with all refugess who are trying to get away from this terror and I think there is this bigger picture we should not close our eyes from. I hope no one feels offended by my post, I tried to keep things clean and neat, eventhough that's not possible on a subject like this one.

Am I the only one who shed a few tears while watching the Vice interview of Eagles of Death Metal? It was so hard and emotional to watch.
