As a Brit and in anticipation for tomorrow, I’m feeling absolutely sick of voting and the sight of my local polling station. I'm always excited to vote, because my polling station is the local police station. I love going inside, without the handcuffs.

It will be hilarious (from the outside perspective) if you end up with a hung parliament, though, because that will surely mean another elections in 2020, and if you're as 'lucky' as Israel is at the moment, you could have three (!) snap elections in a row, imagine that!

Honestly I dread waking up Friday to another hung parliament.

Honestly I dread waking up Friday to another hung parliament. Well, direct and representative democratic schemes are sometimes each others' opponents.. Parliament's composition has the ability to be nuanced, while referendums are generally binary. So, the key question becomes, what is the relation between the binary direct and pluralist indirect vote. Down here we had a gay-marriage law put up on a referendum, it failed, but the parliament overrode it to a good degree without much outrage, surprisingly. Politics isn't easy

Voted today. Feel good about that. Was nearly late for work because I did so.

I guess now we'll finally see what a comfortable majority can do in negotiations. I personally am not a fan of the FPTP though, small parties have big trouble rising in such a system, and seats don't really coincide with proportional vote share that much. Funny, Labour had the chance to support a reform a decade ago, but refused if my memory serves me correctly. The thing that bothers me the most, as a 'red' voter at heart, is the fact that some conceptually nice policies, like properly funding the NHS, reducing the workweek, fixing the housing troubles, will all now be put on the backburner, because as we all know generally conservatives favour less government spending over the opposite. Even more troubling to me personally, what happens on the Washington-London axis matters elsewhere too, just like Bush-Blair and Thatcher-Reagan have shown us, so unless something big happens across the pond, it'll mean more of government austerity for the rest of us on the continent. But that's just my working-class bleeding heart yearning, eh?

But that's just my working-class bleeding heart yearning, eh? Yeah I’m not a fan of FPTP either, proportional representation should be the way. Never get through parliament though, like turkeys voting for Christmas. Quite shocked at the size of the Tory vote. They’ve won in seats Labour have held for 90 years. There’s seats in the north who would NEVER vote Tory but did yesterday. Can only blame their stance on Brexit - those northern seats voted heavily to leave and the party that traditionally represented them couldn’t even be bothered to have an opinion on it. Corbyn absolutely unelectable imo but surely they’d have held those seats in the north if they’d planned to respect the referendum result. Interesting to see if those voters go back to Labour next time though, can’t see many of them being happy about crossing the conservative box! Pleased anyway - Corbyn not fit to lead and can’t say much of their manifesto added up. Highlighted yet again social media absolutely does not represent the electorate too. Interesting day!

I've checked around the percentages, and it seems like the thing that brought Labour down -in general- was 'bleeding' their votes to either Brexit party or Lib Dems, and to a smaller degree to Conservatives. Lab percentage fall was ~7%, and Tories are barely around 1% up nationally, while Lib Dems are up by 4%, and Brexit Party by around 2%. As for Corbyn being unelectable, I guess it depends on perspective and situation - Trump was considered unelectable by the republicans when he ran, for example..

Abby spent two nights at my house with me. She just needs company, we're just friends. She stayed in the spare room. It was really fun spending so much time with her. She's really attractive....

Sometimes a (good) friend is the floodgate against insanity.. and every now and then, a friend somewhere out there unknowingly gets the privilege of keeping a star from dimming too soon.

It was so weird what she had to eat at my house. She ate a bowl of oats with water and 5 or 6 huge raw mushrooms. She then ate an orange and ate most of the peel. It was the kind of food you might feed a horse or cattle or animals in a zoo. Really strange behaviour.

This week I had the whole week off and me and my boyfriend went to Cologne to see where I have to park my car for the Avril concert in March (a bit weird that place so don’t know how it will work out) and after that we went to the Christmas markets and we stayed the night at a hotel in Cologne and returned home the next day. Christmas markets are so festive! I like them! This week flew by.... can’t believe it’s Christmas already next week.. have to work next week and 1st day of Christmas. I’m free the 2nd day if Christmas.
