I'm feeling wealthy. I haven't filled my gas tank since the price dropped like a rock. I still have a quarter tank of the most expensive gas in town. What's the price now? Here we have at an euro a liter (4,1 dollars per gallon?), which is the cheapest its been in more than a decade, and far from the highs of 1,45€ a liter some years ago. Luckily, the 107hp diesel engine burns at the rate of 4,6 liters per 100km, which is like 51mpg, and that's on winter tires. Within a 30 km radius from my house, prices range from $.92 to $1.30 per gallon. Regardless of the selling price, $.57 per gallon is federal and state taxes. My car has a 4.6 liter motor. I get 18mpg in the city and 28mpg on the highway.

It must have many miles on it, how many things have you had to replace? The engine is humongous, but does it have the power? Few engines are above 2, 2,5 litres here, most are around 1,5 I suppose.

Good guess. The Ford Crown Victoria was the most common cop car, in the USA, for many years. Saudi Arabia and even the Moscow police had them. This body style changed very little from 1992 until 2011, when it was discontinued. My car is a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis (made by Ford). Mercury was the brand name used, for the luxury version, of many Ford models. They were similar, in many ways. They were both legendary, for their reliability. I ordered this car, with every option. That's why it has a spoiler. I didn't know it was available, with a spoiler. Its only advantaged is, it is slightly easier to find, in a parking lot. Cop cars don't have leather seats, tinted windows, side molding, pin striping or aluminum wheels. The suspension is different. The Crown Victoria rides like a tank. My car drives like a sofa. Things I had to replace: Not a lot of miles. I bought it in 2002. I retired in 2004. Only 128k miles. Nothing on the drive train. Motor and transmission are all original, except I recently replaced the eight pack, of ignition coils. Spark plugs are all original. lol Other than that, I've only had to replace normal maintenance items. Tires, brakes, rotors, tie rod ends, ball joints, wheel bearings, windshield wipers, batteries, replaced all light bulbs with LEDs. The actual Crown Victoria Police Interceptor from that era:

I’m feeling great and listening to WAW over and over since it just dropped.

The actual Crown Victoria Police Interceptor from that era: Wow you retired very early! Anyway, the car I drive has double the miles, only a few years younger, and hasn't even had wheel bearings or tie rods replaced - the latter are getting a bit loose, though. It did have front suspension replacement because of our salted, bumpy roads. And FYI, it's a Renault, the much ridiculed brand in America.

Car driver just ran up the back of me on a roundabout and nearly killed me. Took out the rear mudguard of my bike. Looked so dozy when he got out to speak to me. Shouldn't be behind a wheel. Took out my rear tyre also. Expensive collision. Good job I kept my bike under control. It was really quite frightening. He apologised and offered me some money. I declined.

I feel shaken up and pissed off. A car ran into the back of me on my bike today on a roundabout. He was supposed to give way and didn't. Need a new rear mudguard and a new rear tyre which will be expensive and inconvenient. I was lucky to keep my bike under control during the collision, it could have been a lot worse for me. My friend argued that he could have been gaslighting me (interesting expression, look it up) but I think he was genuinely just a bad driver. He got out to apologise and offered me some money but I declined. He looked really dozy and I got the impression that he shouldn't be behind a wheel. He did anger me but I knew I had nothing on him so went on my way in a bad mood and slightly shaken up. Well, at least only the bike took a beating. I must say though that way too many people are to drive way too close to two wheeled vehicles, and far too many people aren't even used to hit the brake sufficiently. I myself sometimes try out my quick breaking skills by smashing on the brake as soon as a bee or something flies in front of the car (only when nobody's behind me), that way I retain the emergency reflex somewhat.

Feeling the happiest I have since the lockdown began. Been a lovely day, so been out for my allocated daily walk and got myself some beers for tonight.
Some activity from Avril and good news on her tour has lifted my spirits too. Really needed it as I’m very stressed about going to work at the moment.

I'm in 2 minds during lockdown and having all this free time. Part of me wants to lounge around all day and get drunk and part of me is on some kind of fitness drive and can't stay still. Anyway, thanks for everything you're doing and allowing me to be me right now.

I feel a bit of a fraud calling myself an “essential “ worker tbh compared to what others are doing, I suppose we are all just doing our bit in own way though. On days that I’m not at work, I’m starting to get into a habit. Long lay ins, a circular walk then a night in front on the tv with beers. Its starting to feel normal now.

That was scary ben545 ! Thank god you’re okay! Those roundabouts are scary! I agree with that being at home after work and not doing much is kind of the new normal. Tho I really wanna see friends and family but it’s also in a way good for the mind to not have all those appointments with everyone... since I’m at the cliff of a breakdown for such a long time now it’s good to just go to work and be home afterwards. Tho times at work are also more scarier since now some of my co workers family are diagnosed with corona. They don’t live with those family members but it’s getting closer around you.. And I’m just sooo tired and my body hurts from all those long shifts. Going to bed at 9pm is also the new normal for me so good night guys!

From the day I „lost“ my Meer&great everything seems to get worse at the moment. All my soccer games are cancelled, no one remembers that it’s my birthday, we probably won’t get the house we wanted to buy,Someone wanted to damage our car a few days ago...I don’t know what to do, there is so much more...maybe that one thing I have in mind will make me help to get out of that hole soon...

Drank a bottle of whiskey last night. Don't remember anything. 350ml bottle which is the equivalent of 14 shots or 7 doubles. Not a full size bottle, that would probably kill me.
