I gave Fall to Pieces, Slipped Away, When You're Gone, Everybody Hurts, How You Remind Me a perfect score.  Does people here think that these songs are mediocre at best? |

I love Fall To Pieces... but concerning Slipped Away and When You're Gone, even though I'm not fond of those songs, I wouldn't say that they ' suck' nor that they are ' mediocre' because they're not (there are far worse in Avril's songs  )... they're just not my taste but I didn't give them less than 5 if I recall well... in my opinion, there are songs that deserved to have a better place than these two.. that's all  |

I really love Fall To Pieces and it's been one of my favorite songs of UMS, ever since I first became an Avril fan. But I'm not really fond of Slipped Away and When You're Gone. Not because they are awful or whatever, but because I just don't like them as much as other songs from her. And I totally agree with you that there are songs that deserved to have had a better ranking than these two. I feel like these two songs didn't really deserve to have this place in the rating, since there are songs that are actually much better than those two. WYG and Slipped Away should be definitely lower in rank imo. |

I think WYG is quite overrated. It's an okay song but so cheesy...
And my love for Fly has kind of faded by now. It's a nice song, but not one of Avril's best ones. There are a lot of songs that are better than Fly but ranked lower.

The only one of those I gave a high rating was HYRM. The other songs to me are average and once again, hugely overrated by fans. IMO.

I'm so suprised WYWH and especially I Will Be are in top 10.  I thought many people don't find them very special. But obviously can't deny they're good songs either! My personal favorites along with Hush Hush! Good job BA! |

Personally, IMO, I think Slipped Away will always be my number one all time favourite no ultimate Lavigne thread is going to tell me otherwise. I remember the time that I first listen to this song I believe I was in weeping for days and up my neck with goosebumps... Very hauntingly stunning, so dark, the whole composition was compelling within my taste of music, this was the very first time I appreciate raw emotional talent because that song strikes me and it still does especially when you lost someone so close to you, you could feel her pain that you could relate make the whole narrative even more magnificent. But again, that just me expressing and witnessing also going through an experience within that song. Everyone is different but all I could do is respect your opinions and I hope you do that to mine. And I'm noticing a pattern on this forum I only like a Avril song that people seem to dislike it's so weird how people are different with different perspectives. |

Yeah but I do believe this is great when people do not share the same music taste as you, as I like knowing the reasons why they like songs I don't appreciate... in this case Slipped Away, it gives another perspective of the song and that's interesting. But I admit, sometimes I feel so mean and guilty for not liking Slipped Away considering she has written it for her grandpa.. |
