Imagine  :what: Eh, it's a decent cover of a decent song. It's not a masterpiece IMO - and contrary to what the overwhelming majority of people seem to think, neither is the original. That's really all I can say. :/ |

Quite agree with 69-60. I just wish Too Much To Ask would have been a bit higher, but then, its average rating is 7.8, which is actually really good.
Rock N Roll surprises me. I thought most people didn't really like it... (I do, though)

The ratings aren't bad at all. I'm kind of surprised by the results of some songs. For some reason, I thought most people here didn't like RNR that much. And I also thought that SOS would have got a higher ranking that Rock n Roll.

Interesting how AL songs keep dropping. I guess we were all just excited that we finally got new songs and music videos. Further proof that initial reactions to anything Avril does are mainly just people fanboying and fangirling. I got told off for suggesting this in the Get Over Me thread, but I stand by what I said.  You weren't told off. Members did just not agree  (*sorry  ) Say you got a new computer or something like that .. wouldn't you be super excited by it?  ------------------------ The rating aren't suprising. That even the "worst" get so close to 10/10 is more of a proof that we adore anything miss Lavigne puts out. I won't lie and say i didn't give any songs 1. I did. So when more than 300 people gave their rating, i am actually suprised that no songs/music videos got a lower score in total. |

Hm. Interesting. Music videos: it's getting "boring" that NH is still the first. Just like probably in her song's list... but as far as I remember, last year it was MHE fortunately  For me, her best 5 videos are (in no order): HTNGU, HK, DTM, IWY, GF/Alice. 5 worst: RNR, Smile, WYG, WYWH, Goodbye (and it's just a short film for her fans, it's not really a music vid) Songs 97-60 It was obvious that the b-side songs gonna be the last ones. I feel sorry for YASNY, I like that song. It's weird that IDHTT, OOTG, Contagious and EBBY are in the end of the list, I really love those songs, because of the catchy, sometimes agressive vibe. Too Much To Ask is one of my favourite songs, if it's not my favourite one, and Mobile is a great song too, especially when you're on a long road with your car I'm not surprised that there are no UMS songs yet. Okay, maybe it's one of her best albums, but sometimes I feel it's too overrated. I mean I see UMS fans everywhere, praising Avril's UMS songs and era, but come on, TBDT has some great rocky songs too, they are just not that dark. And the image Avril had back in 2007 does not mean that TBDT songs are not that great. Okay, sorry for being off topic  Some of my fav songs are already gone, seems I have pretty unpopular opinion about Avril's music. |

I never even really understood why it was on GL at all. I know it's supposed to be an intro but it's not really doing a great job introducing the album imo. The lyrics are kind of nondescript; it's just nice, but that's it. I've really heard much better intro tracks before, even some that were so good they're among my all-time favourite songs ever. I disagree. A random little jingle did a great job of introducing an album that was musically all over the place. OT, but I remember when people were saying how inconsistent AL was, but really it was just following in GL's footsteps. I wouldn't say GL was all over the place, except WTH and Smile and maybe Alice. The rest of the songs were all very piano and/or acoustic guitar driven. AL was much more all over the place imo. |
