I definitely should have done this a long time ago. Hi. I’m Crystal. I’ve been an Avril fan since 2002/2003, got her first album in ‘03. I’ve beven a bandaider since 2009/2010, when GL got postponed the first time. I had a hot thread on the old site from when Sally Hansen did the nail polish strips and Avril had a collection. I was super proud of it.

Nobody's home chorus rhymes "home" with "home". Wonder why rap is a bad idea for Avril?

Oops, 20 messages, and I haven't introduced myself yet!
Hi y'all!
I'm a day-one millennial (male) fan born and raised with within online forums back in the 00s.
When coming to the AL communities I started in the X-Bonez forum to then move to a smaller national one. Avril-Bandaids was a staple in those years as well for us, and no surprise it's still active today (you guys rock!), and I'm so proud of being part of it even if 20 years later.
Regarding my artistic preferences, I'm a 00s pop-rock kid, being Blink-182, Tegan and Sara, and Crazytown (my nickname being inspired from their frontman) my other favorite bands.
These preferences are projected on Avril's music too, and I consider myself belonging to the the pop-punk movement inside the broader fanbase, being the most dynamic tracks of TBDT, the first tracks of AL5, the entire LS album and other songs as "He wasn't" and "I always get what I want" my favorites in her discography.
I'm not really into gossip, but I think the relationship with Homer Simpson is funny at least, and I'm madly in love with her house in Malibu, on a real estate standpoint.
When I'm not listening to music (or while I'm listening, lol),I'm running my own tech company, or I'm playing (and watching!) soccer and ice hockey. My biggest other passions are PC hardware and luxury watches. Again, you rock! Looking forward to meet new pals and strengthen my presence in the international fan base. See you around!

Hey,I'm Victoria, So I'm new here. I was a member of the old bandaids many many moons ago. I think at the time sharifa and Adam were like owners/mods. Unsure if this is still the case. I'm talking like 20 years ago 🤣🤣 Anyway,I'm 31 year old female from Manchester UK and like you all absolutely love the bones off avril. Have done since I was 11! So yeah,it's been a long time. Had a pretty rough time as a teenager and hands on heart if it wasn't for Av,I wouldn't be here. She literally got me through the worst time in my teens as I related to her music like Unwanted and nobody's home etc. Recently seen her live again, this time on the love sux tour where I was front row . Amazing experience. So yeah, that's me,you'll be seeing me post a bit around here. Xx

I should have joined a long time ago, but hey, my name is Anthony! I'm 21 from Texas (US) and have been a hardcore Avril fan since 2017 although I also knew of and loved her songs I heard before then.
Avril is my number 1 favorite artist ever - I truly do like every single song she's ever released, but my all-time favorite album is Let Go, and then Under My Skin and Love Sux. Though she doesn't have a single bad album and I truly do love all of them. My favorite song is Wish You Were Here hands-down.
I've never gotten to see her live before but it is my number 1 goal in life. Anyway, just wanted to say hey, and hopefully I can get to know some of y'all more!!

I literally found out only today about this forum and I’m almost a little ashamed of myself for not knowing about it let alone joining it earlier. I’ve been a huge fan of Avril for as far back as I can remember and I listen to her music everyday. My favorite albums of her are Goodbye Lullaby and Under My Skin, and I also really like The Best Damn Thing … but honestly, there isn’t a single song/album by hers that I don’t like. She’s one of my absolute favorite artists ever and I’m proud to say I’ve been a fan of hers for over a decade at this point. I vividly remember discovering her and her music during the Goodbye Lullaby era, which is why it’s my favorite era and album of hers. Her songs bring me so much joy and I’ve also always loved her music videos and watching her live performances and interviews. Unfortunately I’ve never seen her live before but I truly hope one day I’ll be able to.

Hello, I just made my account here two days ago. I’ve been a Little Black Star for a long time, particularly since around the The Best Damn Thing era. My favorite album from Avril is Goodbye Lullaby, and my favorite song from her is Everybody Hurts. I also really love Runaway, Nobody’s Home, Remember When and Fall To Pieces. I’ve never seen Avril live but I might attend her upcoming Greatest Hits Tour so I figured I’d join a place to discuss her discography combined with the fact that I’ve been a LBS for years. My favorite music video of her by the way is Smile, followed by Nobody’s Home and My Happy Ending.

What's up, I recently got into Avril over the last month. I was always aware of her existence and songs but it was all very surface level. The Complicated music video showed up on my tiktok for you page about a month ago and it felt like I took a portal back to the 2000s. The year changing to 2024 hit me like a train in realizing how long ago the 2000's are now, how long it's been since I was a kid. Watching old videos of Avril from that time were giving me unexplainable waves of nostalgic bliss, they were like a time machine, especially the "avcam" behind the scenes videos. The idea of someone walking around with a camcorder and people being excited to be filmed, it's not something we see anymore with phones, people hate being filmed now and are constantly worried about being unknowingly filmed. Avril was the perfect centerpiece for these nostalgia trips, such a cool girl but in a way that would never have been considered cool now with the ties and everything. Also, the contagious happiness of somebody who's dreams are coming true right in front of them, somebody with such a likable and admirable personality, seeing that captured on camera is incredible to watch. In the process of watching all these videos, (youtube has an absurd amount of early career Avril content it's actually insane), I came to find I actually liked a lot of her songs as well despite her music being generally outside of my general music taste. So now I'm a full on fan, after finding this site I started visiting it once a day for updates. Today I finally decided to make an account.

Hi. I am from Spain and I don't usually listen to music in English but in Spanish, because is my first language and I like to understand the lyrics. I have a B2 English title and I have always (since school) been good in writting and reading English but not as good in listening. However, I was a Blur fan as a child and I liked some English songs like Lemmon Tree.
I know who is Avril since she became famous but I didn't pay atention to her, but recently, I listened the Bowsette song and I noticed it sounded similar to something I listened before, I looked for and I discovered it was Sk8ter Boi. Look:
Skater Boi (2002): Bowsette ofThe Chalkeaters (2023):
After that, I have been watching some Avril videoclips and lives in Youtube. I think her acting is interesting and I wanted to know more.
