It depends on what type of concert it is.. as you're not going to behave the same at a jazz concert or to a metal concert. But I'd rather be sitting.

Standing. I only once had a seat and it was like watching a movie. I want to interact with the people around me, dance and be stuck inbetween.

I agree with Safira. It depends on what kind of concert you go to. Since you're not gonna behave the same way you behave in a rock concert at a jazz concert. Personally, I like both, depending on the circumstances and what kind of concert I'm going to. For instance, if I'm at a rock or pop concert, I'd rather jump and dance and stand, than just sit quietly and watch the concert. But if I'm at an orchestral concert, then of course, I'm going to sit and watch it quietly. But I'd rather jump and dance.

Sit for a concert, stand for a gig.

Sit for a concert, stand for a gig. What's the difference? :what:

Sit for a concert, stand for a gig. What's the difference? :what: Technically? None whatsoever. "Gig" is just a cool slang word for "Concert", and I personally use one or the other depending what I mean. I would never say "that Sepultura concert was intense" or "I enjoyed that orchestral gig". You can, of course, use them interchangeably and no one would give a damn.

Standing. I had seats twice, it's okay, but it's nicer to stand in the crowd, interact with other people, jump and dance together, the feelings are simply different for me!
(If it was an orchester I'd prefer sitting though)

I never had seats before. But from now on if it's an Avril concert, I'll sit. If it's a non-Avril concert, I guess I'll stand (though I doubt whether they sell standing tickets in orchestral/opera concerts)
Nearly suffocated to death last year. Fans didn't care about Avril's live performance - their only goal was to see her face with their own eyes. People fought to go to the front which caused a massive shove from the back row. People from the front row, annoyed, started to push back. The whole crowd staggered and a woman passed out. Was wonderful.

South Korea, Seoul, in a place called "Olympic Hall"

And trust me, you do not want to be on your feet through that

As others said, it depends. I've been to classical and jazz types of shows before, and sitting is definitely better. But when I saw Avril I definitely stood the entire time (only pop/rock concert I've ever been to). I expect if I saw any other pop or rock concerts I'd probably also stand. Especially at a concert like Avril's, most of the songs are upbeat and you're dancing or singing along, so it's more suited for standing than sitting. Plus when the people in front of you stand, you kind of have no choice but to also stand unless you're ok with not being able to see anything.

Standing, as long as I am near the front so that I can actually see. The gigs I go to tend to be quite small so it isn't usually a problem but I was at a The Gaslight Anthem gig once and the people I was going with didn't want to see the support band so we arrived late and were right at the back. I genuinely saw nothing the entire gig except the back of people's heads and it did ruin it a little bit. Thankfully I've seen them twice since and got a better view.
