The Official Lil Mama Thread Niatia Jessica Kirkland (born October 4, 1989), better known by her stage name Lil Mama, is an American hip hop legend from Brooklyn, New York City, New York. A rapper, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, spokesperson, dancer, actress, and creator of music, Lil Mama was also a talent show judge for seven seasons on America's Best Dance Crew. She experienced Billboard placement with the release of her debut album, VYP (Voice of the Young People), which spawned the hit single "Lip Gloss". She also helped to propel then-flop singer Avril Lavigne to fame with the flawless Dr. Luke remix of "Girlfriend". Kirkland was also cast for the role of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, in the VH1 biographical film CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, which aired in October 2013. Most recently, Kirkland has released a mixtape titled Take Me Back in 2015 featuring the hit single "Sausage".

 I'm not a fan per se but I consider Lip Gloss a guilty pleasure song (hey, she is a pretty good rapper) and I actually really love the video. And I don't mind the Dr. Luke remix as much as some other fans do.

Her recent mixtape is actually pretty dope.
She's improved a lot, her bars are mad sick and I'm loving her kinda old-school, authentic hip-hop flow.
