Did you every watch the whole Apple 1989 tour video? Yes, I loved it! And I wish they had released it to the public either by DVD or at least YouTube or iTunes instead of a subscription-based platform. I only got to see it because I signed up for the free trial. I actually just saw last night someone uploaded the whole thing to YouTube a week ago but I’m sure it will get removed soon. :/ Rep Tour starts today! She wrote on IG that this is the most excited she’s ever been about a tour. I think she really combined and refined all she'd learned and rolled it into 1989. I'm not sure how it's possible to top that tour. That show truly was incredible. I think I told you I'm going to Reputation. Hoping for the best even though I'm not crazy about all the songs on that record. But I heard she's doing 10 "oldies" and we got 2nd row tickets so I’m optimistic, which I have to be considering how much the tickets cost! Ha! Mainly, I just thought it would be worthwhile to be a part of what might be the biggest grossing act in History.

So lucky that you get to go. I wish someday I could see her in concert. I’m sure it will be amazing!
She posted on IG story that Katy Perry literally sent her an olive branch. So I guess their beef is now squashed.

I haven’t touched a piano in years and for the last 45 minutes or so I sat down to try playing All Too Well and Out of the Woods (they share the same chord structure, surprisingly). It felt really nice to be able to do that. And on my way to and from work today I played the Speak Now album. Might play through RED tomorrow. Wow that's so cool! I think Remember When also has the same chord structure. You should try to play New Year's Day too, it's pretty easy.

Some of those songs were part of a medley, so many of those weren’t performed in full.
I’ve seen clips of the tour on IG. It’s a bunch of 12 year olds freaking out SLAAAYYY KWEEEEN I don’t think it’s as good as the 1989 tour. Most of the outfits are ugly IMO and I think she’s trying too hard to present herself as some bad chick. The dancing is cringy, Joe was in the audience so I guess she was trying to be all sexy for him, but it was cringey to watch IMO. The outfits and the choreography are just so far from what she has done before that it doesn’t really seem authentic. The stupid snake thing was everywhere which is old by now. However, I do like the set list and glad she brought back some old songs. Good to see her play guitar. The poem she read before Getaway Car and her speech before New Year’s Day were good. Hard to really judge it only based on clips. Everyone is freaking out over her vocals even though I think she’s kind of pushing her voice a lot and the backup singers or playback are helping a lot. I think it’s mostly a bunch of kids overhyping it, it’s alright. But I think her previous tours were better. She seems like she is trying really hard to be a typical pop star with the revealing booty costumes and sexy dancing. She just looks awkward IMO.

Gosh, and I was gonna give you an extra ticket........oh well. Rolling Stone gave it a "Best Tour Yet" review but the writer has some weird obsession with her. HaHa. I really hope your wrong but I'm worrying too (or is it "to," I mix that up sometimes).

I really hope your wrong but I'm worrying too (or is it "to," I mix that up sometimes). Like I said, I’ve only watched clips on IG so maybe the full thing is better. I also think concerts are better when you’re there in person, like some things just don’t translate onscreen. I’m sure just being there is very exciting. I remember when I watched clips of the AL tour I thought it was boring but being there in person was amazing. I just think it’s kind of off brand for her to suddenly be wearing these leotard costumes like a lot of pop stars wear onstage with the thigh high boots and gyrating on the stage. Not into the thot look, sorry. But I guess it’s because Joe was there and their relationship has seemed to bring out her sexy side, she has also noticeably gained weight so maybe she feels sexier, I don’t know. I just have always liked how on her tours she was usually playing an instrument of some kind and didn’t need to dress sexy or dance sexy to be entertaining. Even on the 1989 tour it had fun Broadway style choreography. I just am not a fan of the choreography this era, it looks more about doing sexy gyrating moves that a group of middle schoolers would come up with. Ok rant over lol

I hear you Bogo. We don’t need her acting like Beyoncé. But for sure she’s used her sex appeal on every tour. She couldn’t really help it. But you are right she seems like she’s awkwardly pushing it from what I’ve seen so far. Remember how she opened 1989? That looked and felt natural. The weight gain definitely might have something to do with the costumes. Or skinny white boy Joey. What pisses me off is the tickets I bought as a verified fan are now much less. Not cool Swizz.

So Taylor said in her first show of Reputation that she "wasn't sure she would be allowed to do this anymore."
So the question is do y'all think her label thought her fight with Kim and the whole snake thing sunk her career? Or something else?

I don’t think that’s what she meant. I thought she was saying something about when she’s 80 and looks back on this and she likely won’t be doing this still or at least not playing large arenas by then.

Here is the quote I'm referring to:
The superstar singer kicked off her Reputation Stadium Tour in Glendale, Arizona, and opened up a bit about her trademark snake imagery. "A couple of years ago, someone called me a snake on social media, and it caught on," Swift said, according to video tweeted by a fan. "Then, a lot of people were calling me a lot of things on social media. And I went through some really low times for awhile because of it. I went through some times when I didn't know if I was going to get to do this anymore."

Hmmm maybe she is referring to the fact that what people said just became too much, like maybe she was going to quit music for good. If anything, the Kimye drama brought her publicity, so I don’t see why her label would have found that a reason to prevent her from making music. I think it’s probably that all that stuff really got to her and she left social media for awhile. Maybe she did not know if she wanted to continue her career or give up the fame and live a normal life.

I think that’s probably what she meant also, except the “get to” had me wondering. 🤔
