 The Cure are an English band that formed in Crawley, Sussex. They performed their first concert in 1977, and played around 1,300 shows to date. They have released 13 studio albums, several concert films, few live albums, some soundtrack songs, more than 40 singles, a couple of box sets, books, a greatest hits record, handful of covers, and various other stuff. The Cure are one of my favourite bands they have so many fantastic songs but I think my favourite is probably Lullaby. |

I was a fan long before I knew it. It wasn't until someone gave me a Jimi Hendrix tribute album for Christmas that I finally figured out who they were. They contributed a killer version of 'Purple Haze' to it. I was then I researched them and found out they had done several songs I really liked. I had heard the songs and liked them without ever knowing the titles or the name of the band. |

I found The Cure when I was like 14 or so when my mom used to put their Greatest Hits CD onto our car, whenever we head out somewhere. When I began listening to them more, I started to get hooked onto their stuff. They became one of my favorite bands since then. I've been watching this cover of A Letter To Elise by Blink-182, at the 2004 MTV Icon. Here it is: |
