The audio is pretty spotty in this episode. I'm in the process of figuring out the best audio quality solutions for future episodes. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up  Description: In the second episode of TBDAS, Neil and marliz. interview Avril BandAids moderator In Wonderland (karen), asking her how she became an Avril fan. They then talk about Avril's general absence lately and give their opinions on whether it's a good thing or a bad thing (or if she's even been absent at all). I enjoyed this a lot! I like hearing from different members and getting to know them more. My 2 cents on some of what you discussed: I think Avril at this point is a nostalgia artist, like Britney, BSB, Nickelback, etc. Most articles written about her always refer to her skater days and old hits. I don't think the new album will be as successful as her early records but I think the public will be interested in hearing from her again. I also don't think she is necessarily making the album for the fans, but for herself. I don't think she's been absent from social media but rather that there's been a huge lack of music related posts. I hope that maybe we're gonna get some kind of web exclusive interviews or BTS videos and maybe that's what they're saving everything for. I hope! I'm really loving the idea of the show so far and it keeps getting better and better each episode. When the single/album is finally out, then we'll have some really good stuff to talk about! I wanted to mention also in the episode 1 thread I did leave some questions for Karen there, like about what it's like being a staff member and things like that.  Not sure what questions to leave for the next episode, depends on the guest I think. |

I finally got around to watch the first episode yesterday. I've always had trouble with my attention, so I thought I might have to watch the episode piece by piece. But I ended up watching the entire video, without a break. And today I watched episode 2. Both episodes were really interesting. I love listening to you guys! Of course, a lot of it is just the stuff that has been talked over multiple times here on Bandaids, but some things can be explained much better in spoken words rather than writing. I also really like the idea of having a guest in each episode. I already look forward to episode 3. All in all: great idea, great concept... I actually have no negative things at all to say about it. |
