Drive was a film made by Nicolas Winding Refn that was released on May 20th, 2011 in the Cannes Film Festival, but globally on September 16th. It's a cult movie that is known for spiking the idea of bringing the 80s influences into the modern era, and introducing the Synthwave musical genre to a bigger audience. It has inspired many artists in the Synthwave movement such as The Midnight and TimeCop1983. It was also a major influence to a video game franchise called Hotline Miami.
The movie stars Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Christina Hendricks, Oscar Issac, and more to mention.
In my opinion, I think this is by far one of the best movies I've ever seen and I truly recommend giving it a watch. It contains an amazing soundtrack and has great cinematography as well.
