The numbers are in and Avril received an early Christmas present this year as The Avril Lavigne Foundation was able to raise a total of $23,000 for Lyme disease awareness, prevention, and treatment. On Thursday night, Avril and friends gathered in Ryan Cabrera's living room for an intimate livestream event to raise money for Avril's foundation. The event was a massive success, raising more than double its goal! Fans tuned in to watch performances by talented musicians like The Voice finalist Brennley Brown, whose mother is a survivor of Lyme disease, Drake Bell, and the legendary Billy Ray Cyrus. Avril and Ryan also treated fans to the first ever live performance of Avril's new single "Tell Me It's Over" and a stripped down piano version of her inspiring ballad "Head Above Water." Billy Ray generously donated his favorite baseball cap and some other prizes up for grabs included signed photos, personal video messages, and one lucky fan will receive a signed guitar! Thanks to the generosity of many Little Black Stars, The Avril Lavigne Foundation was able to raise $23,000, which will go to raise awareness, prevention, and treatment of Lyme disease. Did you miss the livestream? You can watch it again below on Avril's YouTube channel! And there's also still time to donate as the campaign will run until December 27th - visit this link to donate and choose a prize!
