We The Kings opened for Andy’ Grammer who is much less known that our goddess. So they’ll probably open for her.

If this was going to be a one-off charity show, I don’t think they’d call it the HAW Tour.

I really hope the concert is from the actual tour and not a 3 song setlist for an ALF charity event, we've waited long enough for a tour at this point. If there are no plans for it, she should just come clean and say it. If this date is in fact a reality, then it has to be for her tour.
I've always seen that bands seem to have a more loyal fanbase, even if they aren't as big as many solo acts. This leads to sold out shows in many of the venues they play at. It seems ironic that even though she has millions of followers on social media, the number of people who go to a band's show with less than a million followers outnumber the amount that go to hers. I mean, are we even sure that at this time in her career, 2019, she will be able to sell even 1000 tickets for that Detroit show? Her fanbase in the US has gone downhill since GL and hasn't stopped. If we were talking about Brazil, Asia, and other parts of Europe that have been waiting for her for years now, then I'm sure she might sell pretty well, but the US is a different story.

I think considering it says "Head above water tour" we can be pretty sure it's part of a proper tour and not a one off charity concert.
I just hope Avril comes to the UK this time. I'm pretty sure she could still sell as many tickets at any venue here as she would in Detroit.

pre-sales starts in the upcoming days so we'll see if there's a full tour or an opening act. However if she were an opening act for we the kings, why is she "selling" tickets an Travis isn't? if it is really happening I hope is more than an hour show and that at least people can have the chance to listen to most of HAW album songs live.

I think if anything We the Kings and maybe Zane would be opening for her. Though I remember the last tour I don’t think she had opening acts at her headlining shows (the few she did).
I wouldn’t expect a long setlist though. The previous tours were around 90 minutes I think. Throughout this era we haven’t been able to see how long she’s really able to perform because all the appearances have only been 1 or 2 songs. Either there’s probably not going to be a lot of dates or there will be big gaps between shows. Maybe that’s why only 1 date showed up. If the setlist could only be like 1 hour, I’d be fine with that as long as she tried to play as many new songs as possible. We have to accept at this point she can’t do as much as she used to. Her health comes first and I’m just happy if she can even do a tour at all. I just hope she at least adds more new songs to the setlist. If it’s just going to be all singles again, why even bother?

They can always work on medleys, instrumental versions, video footages to make the show longer and interesting. Her songs aren't long anyways, majority has a typical radio-lenght so an hour long setlist, if you don't count her talking, playing with the audience but singing only, the setlist can include around 20 songs! I think the show itself is one thing, the other is travelling and changing places and her health as something she cannot fully control. Look at Lady Gaga, one day she is able to play a full show, the other day she canceles. But Avril's reputation cannot afford cancellation. If fans are able to write nasty comments on her Instagram because they don't like a single cover, imagine what would happen if she cancels a show.

After a few months It Was In Me is the only song that I'm listening again and again. That's not necessarily a bad thing because I always end up listening only a few tracks on an album. The others are still nice to hear but don't "fit"(?) in my playlist at the moment.

She’ll need to work her a$$ out to get her energy back. She’s still got three months left, so she’s got time. I can’t help but see her fragile every time she walks on stage since this era started. It makes me wonder if she can even make it through three songs before her voice starts to break or she feels fatigued. Maybe with a lot of exercise, vocal training and band rehearsals she’ll manage to pull a decent show. She needs to get her stamina back up, and I hope she’s able to.
As for the set, I’ve never minded the singles setlist and I think they are what make her who she is. A lot of people going to her concerts (let’s say the US) probably haven’t heard the new album as much and would rather hear her perform her hit songs. I’d be ok if she performed HAW, DB, Devil, Birdie and IWIM (and maybe TMIO, even though she’s kind of forgotten about it). If she’s unable to move as much, she could pull out the electric guitar HW, WTH, GF, and a couple more of the upbeat songs, strip down some of the ballads and make them acoustic sitting on a stool, and play piano for songs like Devil, WYG, IWIM. I just hope it’s not her behind the mic standing like a statue, cuz that would be so boring.
I would love to see her perform a medley of Devil and Together since those two songs go hand in hand and she could do something amazing with them. Same with IWIM and IWY.

But that’s the thing. I don’t think she can necessarily do anything to “get in shape.” This is just the way her body is now. We don’t know exactly what her issues are but I think she’s made it clear that she can’t do what she used to. I don’t think there’s anything she can do to really change it, she just has to work around it, for example doing shorter shows. Even her performance at the ARDYs with all those upbeat songs she wasn’t really doing much onstage. I think her days of jumping, running, that kind of thing are over. She should try to build the show around her strengths, like sit on a stool and do something acoustic, rather than making it apparent she can’t do anything high energy anymore.

Coming on stage to a theatre packed with true fans who love her unconditionally might just give her the strength she needs to pull through and perform a great show.

Do you think it’s possible she’ll never fully recover at a physical level? That’s what I’ve been wondering. Maybe she will eventually but it will take her a few more years. It would be really sad that being so young and energetic she can never think of performing the way she used to again. I want to believe she can make it through and go back to running around and jumping, but we have no idea if this is a permanent side effect. I can even live with the more nasal voice. I just wish she was more open about it and communicated a bit more. I remember she said in her letter back in September that she couldn’t wait to be back on stage running and rocking out, but that we had to be patient, which makes me think she’s confident she’ll get there eventually.

Do you think it’s possible she’ll never fully recover at a physical level? Yes, it's possible. Go Google stories of people who suffered from Lyme. Each story is different, each body is different, much depends on how fast you were diagnosed, how you were treated, how your body reacted to the meds and how much it was demaged. Some people cannot have kids, some has demaged immune system...
