Adam, I agree that HAW is her best record. I know that's what I don't understand. She has brought out a record that for me is her best, and she is going on tour and seems very enthusiastic about it. There isn't much more she can do Imo. I just think the media and fans of pop music are fickle.

Alright, there were things that could be criticized but some of you give me the feeling as if you would ONLY see the bad things and nothing else. Warrior was good. Not great but definitely not bad. She forgot the very first line and messed a little in the bridge but she needed to hear just the very first word to remember the whole thing. She didn‘t rehearse it didn‘t perform it for months. It is completely understandable that she has a little problems with it. A girl in the audience said the first words and screamed as soon as Avril recognized it. People laughed and enjoyed it. Here and there her vocals were a little weak, yes, but still not terrible. Yes, it bothers me too that she only performed MHE, GF, HAW and Warrior but since it was meant to be like this I‘m fine. I‘m also mad at her for not singing the high notes on MHE. That was probably the biggest letdown of the evening. Also don‘t compare Avril to everyone and expect her to be like that. I know, it is frustrating sometimes but at this point everyone should know that Avril probably won‘t change. Avril is not Taylor and will never be. (Btw I love Taylor Swift!)
Over all it was not all that spectacular but she didn‘t completely fail. I‘m actually happy she finally performed Warrior.

If that what I wrote is something you agree, then yes but I don‘t see Avril as a lazy person. She has just other priorities.

“Lazy” was said in jest. “Unmotivated” maybe is more accurate.

I don't think the performances were bad. I think it looked like a rehearsal. That's what I'm worried about. In 7 days the tour starts and she does not sound ready. I'm just hoping she pulls the bull by the horns like she did 4 months ago 😈

That was a great opportunity to show what kind of singer-songwriter you are and you, dear Avril, messed up everything. I feel sorry for the audience, hope they didn't pay anything to see someone who almost missed to start Warrior because she was talking to her guitarist. What kind of behaviour is that?? It was a show in a relaxed setting, and from what I've seen the audience loved it and loved her. Her first show in five years after everthing she been through, I'm proud of her. That's the problem, you are conditionated by her disease and recover that you can't think objectively. The Lyme excuse is getting old by now, if she wasn't sure to be well she would have done any performances, but she did and she did in a very unprofessional way wih a mood : i do because i have to. I didn't see passion and anything, since it was a relaxed setting this should have been like the Roxy performance or even better due to her improved vocals, but she just sang because she had to, she skipped the last tine of the bridge of MHE, she didn't know the lyrics of a song, she was talking to her guitarist during the intro of one of HER MOST PERSONAL songs and almost missed the start and she laughed about it like it was something normal. And do you want to pay to see something like this in tour? Save your money.

I honestly don't see how Avril is lazy, after what's she's been through with Lyme she could have decided just to give up on everything but here she is 17 years into her career going on tour and onto her 6th album. Head above water is some of Avril's best work, Probobly the best she has ever written. Avril seems genuinely excited about the tour and plays piano, guitar and drums on tour. As for the performance on Thursday, it seemed to be a very relaxed kind of show and it was good to see Avril so at ease with the audience and talking to them during the show. And she looked amazing aswell, gorgeous outfit, the pants a throwback to UMS. No she isn't Taylor Swift, but I wouldn't want her to be, I love Avril for being Avril.I love this. So simple, but everything has been said

She wasnt talking to her guitarist for no reason she was asking him to remind her of the first word of the song .. i dont get why many people her are so upset about her forgetting the lyrics(like many artists do ) .. no one in the audience seemed to be bothered about it and they even laughed .. everyone there seemed to like her and enjoyed the performance . I expected more of this event too but still dont think it was bad at all .she could have done better for sure but overall i think she did a pretty good job

she has always been like that and honestly i like that carefree, lazy, i don't give a fuck side of her and i think she is kinda reconecting with that side of her again and i love it, i can't wait for her next record, i don't know why but i feel like it's going to be so much better than this one

I expected more of this event too but still dont think it was bad at all .she could have done better for sure but overall i think she did a pretty good job All artists forget lyrics from time to time, for sure. But it seems like this is a consistent issue with Avril. Thankfully once she was reminded of the opening line she didn’t have any issue from there. But overall this performance gave me a vibe like she was unprepared and didn’t take it very seriously. Some might find that “cute” or “funny,” but I don’t. I find it unprofessional. At her own concert, she can joke around and be silly with the audience. But the Grammy Museum is an important institution. It should be considered an honor to get to perform there and it should be taken seriously. Everything from her outfit to the laid back performances gave me a sense she wasn’t taking this as seriously as she maybe should have, her attitude about the whole thing came off very casual and ok she’s always been like that, but in this case I just don’t think it was appropriate for this type of event. And about lyrics, well she can’t be forgetting them constantly. For the tour it will look mega embarrassing if she has to have the audience help her or turn to her band for assistance. It’s her job to know lyrics. There’s human error and then there’s just being unprofessional. Not knowing the lyrics to your own songs for a show people are paying money to see is unprofessional. We all make mistakes at our jobs, but if I acted that way in my job I’d be fired. She should be treated the same way as anyone else with a “regular” job. That being said, I think the tour will certainly be a lot better than this since she’s been rehearsing a lot. From what she’s shown us so far, it looks like she’s stepped it up a bit with costumes, stage visuals, etc.

I don’t think she will forget lyrics during the concert since she will be preparing everything. The Grammy thing seemed like she wasn‘t really trying much. Even though I liked it overall, it still seemed like she didn‘t care much about it.
