Avril Lavigne Performs Alongside Luis Fonsi At Special Olympics World Games
Aynslee Darmon | March 14, 2019 Avril Lavigne kicked off the 2019 Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi with a bang. Teaming up with Luis Fonsi, the Canadian songstress, 34, opened the games with “Right Where I Am Supposed To Be”. They were also joined by a killer group of performers, including, Tamer Hosny and Hussain Al Jassmi. Before the foursome took the stage, the pop-group Now United, pumped up the crowd getting them ready for Lavigne.

“Right Where I’m Supposed To Be”, this year’s Special Olympics anthem, features inspiring lyrics in both English and Arabic. The track was created by Quincy Jones and songwriter Greg Wells. Even the crowd got to be a part of the performance with LED bracelets synced to the catchy tune. The Special Olympics World Games kicked off on March 14 and will conclude March 21.
