Yeah, hopefully the tour pulls people in for nostalgia and familiarity but also lets them know she has a new album out and they buy it because they like some of the new songs or because they're still on a concert high and want to relive it in a way by getting the new album.
I know a lot of "legend" artists have big spikes in their sales here in the UK when they headline festivals because people who wouldn't normally listen to them hear a few familiar songs and buy the album after to connect with how they felt having fun at the festival. Maybe Avril should get in on some festivals. She's never really done many

Summersonic is her only consistent festival.
Rock am Ring (I forgot the name) still shocks me that she did that one.
I'm still waiting for Rock in Rio because I hear she has fans in Brazil. It's weird she hasn't done that one. But I remember someone said on here that they were planning it before she got sick?
Also I think she did a few back in UMS era, I remember seeing some videos on YouTube.

She did 'One Big Weekend' before UMS in the UK once. I think in the early days she just didn't need them because she could sell out shows on her name alone, she didn't need to do festivals to try and pull in new fans and she was more heavily criticised for not beng "rock" enough back then and festivals were more rock oriented. They'll have basically anyone at most of them now so it would probably do good for her to perform for people who might not usually go and see her in a solo show.

Big artists like Rihanna have done festivals too. I don't think Avril did not do them at the time because she was popular. Maybe she did not have enough fun. In interviews I've seen of her at festivals in the UMS era she did not look too happy, more like tired. But now we see her go back and meet people like Kesha, Shawn, 5SOS, Billie, Maren Morris after their shows. She seems more open and friendly so I would like to see her go to festivals.
Oh does iheart count? Back in 2013 she appeared Vegas one but outside. Or the christmas tours? And she just did Live in the Vineyard last week too.

Yeah I don’t know if these count as “festivals” technically but back when she was first starting out, throughout all of 2002 she participated in multi-artist shows sponsored by radio stations before doing her first tour. She’s also done multi-artist shows like JingleBall and iHeart Radio.

First time I saw her was at a Festival in Milan in 2005 (it was a complete open air FREE show), she played as a regular tour date (17 songs) and that night also John Legend and the Black Eyed Peas performed.

Autographed, limited edition Avril Lavigne Tour Poster Exclusive Avril Lavigne merchandise bundle including hat, keychain, sticker set and tote bag Collectible Avril Lavigne Commemorative Ticket
How the hat and tote bag looks like?

Basically unless you want a bunch of merch and a basic autographed poster, IMO it's not worth the extra price. I feel like the VIP package is kind of lame if it doesn't include a M&G. I can understand why she didn't want to do one this era and it was nice to offer some sort of upgraded package for fans, but I don't think a bunch of merch really makes it worth the price. As I said before, I wish they had had different posters for each show or even each leg maybe, that way it feels like you are getting something unique and exclusive.

You can't tell buy the photo, but that key chain is 3D/relief/sculpted (at least it was for US VIP package). Not saying that makes it worth the price, but it's nicer than it looks in the photo. The ticket is a nice souvenir ticket (plastic/not printed on paper), and the hat I think is VIP exclusive, so if you're into getting exclusive merch, that is nice. If you got EE, it might be worth it to you and the merch would just be souvenirs from your concert. Definitely get in line early for merch. The line never ended at both concerts I attended. Side note - If you're into autograph collecting, I've noticed from photos posted online that some posters just have a signature (the one that isn't totally legible as she signs LOTS of these), some have a very legible signature (think the electronic version on her HAW CD insert or in any email sent from her website), and some have a heart above the signature. "Collect em all"

Definitely not worth the price. The poster is nice, that’s it and you will have to take care of it during the show. It’s harder to remember about not squishing the poster when you are standing on the floor. During the seated US tour it seemed easier.
