At this point containing the disease is not an option. The only thing people can do is try to prevent it from spreading to so many people at once that it overwhelms the local hospitals. They may have to cancel or reschedule the concerts for that reason. From what I hear disease experts expect it to become a pandemic around the world but that doesn't mean that people are going to be locked away in their homes. It will mostly mean people are prevented from going to large gatherings such as concerts. A lot of people are going to get the coronavirus and most probably won't know they've had it because it feels so close to the flu or a cold. From what I remember most of the people in England who were confirmed to have had the coronavirus got it from one guy. If one infected person flew into the UK to see her concert then they could potentially infect dozens of people who would go out into the population and infect more people. It will probably be up to the governments of the countries she's going to, to decide if they want to cancel all large gatherings. Yeah this is the point I was trying to make before, the point is that they’d want to prevent it from spreading further and the last thing they need is large crowds of people gathering together.

But outside of Italy it’s really not taken any hold in Europe. There’s more cases in the US than in the rest of Europe combined. Is the US media reporting it more dramatically or something? Nobody here is particularly concerned about it. The few people in the U.K. with it have been quickly quarantined. Events in certain regions of Italy have been cancelled, I’d expect if 200 people in London got it then events in London would be cancelled. Until it’s more of a major issue over whole countries I really don’t see the tour being cancelled. Certain dates (like Milan) maybe, but the rest would be rather OTT at this point. There’s events happening daily.

I was reading an article about the Austria one (Vienna) because I have a ticket there. I really dont like the media also, because they are try to scare the shit out of people.... Like my friend who is coming with me called me literally 5 minutes ago and said that "omg they found Coronavirus in Vienna they are closing down the country and they cancelling everything" and I found the article: HEADLINE: over 2800 people infected - caranten in Vienna and Zurich and you read the article which literally says they found 1 person in Vienna who MAYBE has the virus......... So.......... i still think the media likes to overreact as always....

There have been cases in UK too, nut apparently they are doing few researches there, so that's why in the rest of Europe there are few cases reported and not so many like in Italy, who are testing a lot.

The population of Europe is more than double the United States. I think we all need to chill, accept Milan may be cancelled albeit out of Avrils control, and look forward to our respective gigs lol.

Just dont be too surprised if the cases in Europe spike in the next two weeks, because they have zero idea when the virus was carried to Italy, if it was many days ago there could be many many more undetected carriers and sick across Italy and nearby regions.

Vienna literally has 1 woman who MAYBE caught the virus. The woman is hungarian and was in Italy a week ago. Read the article before you post something.

I'm Avril's fan in 2002. I was on 3 concerts and 1 show. Didnt saw Avril 8,5 years. I spent 2300 euro for this trip into Italy and Belgium specially to the concert and want to show this my mom which wasn't in Europe not once. Italy - its my favorite country. And concert must be in my birthday - 15th of March. God, stop this catastrophe please.

How soon would they have to notify everyone if a show is being canceled?

How soon would they have to notify everyone if a show is being canceled? Unfortunately, there's no rule for that. They can cancel it, if they do, like Lana did a week ago, 1 day before the tour's supposed to start. gabbox Please stop trying to start a panic, there's absolutely no reason for that.
